For a while now I have been looking for pictures and information on the @Bestop Bronco fender flares and have only found minimal info. I know over the years there have been a few threads with them installed on peoples Broncos here on B6G but not much info on the quality and fitment of the flares. It has also been hard to find any photos of the fender flares paint matched and installed on the Bronco. I thought I would do a quick write up for anyone who has had interest in the Bestop fender flares and post some photos of them paint matched and installed.

As for the quality of the fender flares, they are very well made, solid and not flimsy at all. The install was straight forward and came with great directions to help you through the process. The install was not difficult, just a little time consuming. It is Definitely something that could be tackled on a weekend in a couple hours. The fender flares area attached to the fender with push pins which utilize the same holes that the OEM fenders use, clips in some areas and 3M two-sided tape. The fenders are very sturdy when installed and the fitment is perfect. The flares fit to the fender excellent with no gaps and mold to the contours of the fenders.

I like how the flares turned out and change the look of the OEM rounded fenders that came from the factory. My only dislike about the fender flares is I wish they stuck out a little more from the fender to cover more of the tire. The tires poke out quite a bit which you will see in the pictures. Other then that one issue I like the overall look and quality of the flares.

These look way better color matched. Thank you for sharing the before and after. Have you had any chips from the reduced flare coverage over the width of the tire? The poke looks good, but this is the first thing to come to mind

They are much better in the color match. Much like the KBD’s are too. My suggestion would be to black out the rounded part of the fenders. It looks like they have paint overspray on them.

I went with the KBD flares over a year ago and I still like them although the factory finish needs to be painted. Wish I would have painted mine. Still relatively happy that they are black and not faded.

So far I have had no issues with chips in the paint.

It’s either stock or aftermarket wide fenders. Not a fan of any thing else. Those things on the FP ORV Bronco are not bad except don’t like to see fasteners.

Love these! I am thinking about the yotto. Would you say this project came in less than 1500$?

Not a fan at all
I can't unsee the factory round part that is underneath. I'd have to try painting that black and see if it can be hidden better.

Bedline the undersides and these would be a perfect lower cost alternative to a paint-matched Heritage fender and flare swap.

New here, after lots of research over the weekend I order the Rough Country flares in G4 Azure Grey to match my Badlands. I will post a picture over in the RC flares thread when I receive the flares and install them.

Huh ??

1st generation Broncos did not have flares, and the wheel wells on a 1st generation are not shaped at all like that.

What you are thinking about are the people who took a hacksaw to their 1st gen Bronco.

you forgot about what the front looks like. I was referring to the front fenders. And yes the cutout of the rear made it look like the front fender. This was very typical - most classics did this to fit larger tires.
See image to refresh your memory.
