VERY close on a raptor and have a few questions for those that own one

i had a 392 as well... traded her for the raptor.. way more comfortable and stable etc, overall night and day. add the Procal tuner and it feels really close minus the size difference...

Agree, even my 21 FE is way better in terms of comfort and ride. I'm not ready to give up that V8 voice though.

I appreciate all the help and forgive my newbie ignorance if it shows. I did get an extended test drive. Here’s my head now. Help me out. It’s an awesome ride. Lots of cool stuff. But I don’t drive off road. I’m not a very aggressive driver. Should I just get the procal tune in my 2.7 wildtrak and move along? Or is there something I’m missing. I really can go either way and do believe that all in all my 2024 wildtrak plus $25k is fair. And it’s a color and setup I’d pick.
by the way, the old me would drink three beers and call the dealer and say let’s do it! But I quit drinking two years ago!

I'm coming from a built '22 Wildtrak with ProCal tune so I have a little insight. My Wildtrak on 37's with the tune runs like it is still on 35's. The tune definitely helps the Wildtrak. I've had the Raptor for a little over a week driving around here locally and some highway miles, she is a little wider than the Wildtrak, but not by much. My Wildtrak with the Mickey Thompson MT 37's put the tire width right at 83", whereas the Braptor width is 85.5, so 2.5" wider which comes out to 1.25" sticking out further each side, along with the flares.

Driving the Braptor is a pleasure over my Wildtrak. Stability and just overall ride quality is much better. Acceleration isn't that bad if you get after it and that being said, I do have a ProCal tuner sitting on my dining room table that will be installed in the near future.
I wheel in the Red River Gorge area and will have to be more vigilant about my extra width in some spots, but I've been wheeling with a buddy in his Braptor and watching him, so I know it's doable. Just learning the vehicle in the woods is necessary in order to take the right line.

I've daily driven mine for the last year and a half, including city driving - no issues. You get used to the width pretty quickly. The only thing to look out for is parking garages that have low heights. I believe our trucks are 78" (stock) tall so that could be problematic for low clearance garages.

Weeks ago. I have had no problems parking even in the parking garages. At first you’ll have to go slow but eventually you’ll used to it. As far as the amenities, I think they are pretty good.I had a Badlands Sasquatch. I have no complaints about it. Good luck on what you decide.
