At some point I expect to have the only Bronco with the original badge. I can see wanting to change a Badlands or Wildtrack badge, but the Sasquatch badge was already pretty rare.
I take mine off road quite a bit and I don't bother with the GOAT modes. I just select which version of 4-wheel-drive that I need and leave it in normal mode. I occasionally hit the lockers as needed - rear through loose sections where I don't need to be in 4L, and front and rear on occasion...
I went two miles to pick mine up, that I had ordered a full year before it showed up. This is it before I took possession of it, next to one of my other red Fords.
I'm planning to go with the Firestone Destination MT2, partly because it's slightly better in ice and snow than the current Goodyears and I think it will work better for the off road driving that I do. At the rate I'm wearing out my Goodyears, it will be two or three more years before I need a...
I don't ever "release" the parking brake, I just stick it in drive, or reverse, and start driving. I think it's kind of stupid to have a parking brake that automatically releases when you start driving, but that's how it works, so I take advantage of it.
My son-in-law tore the brake release...
The automatic works amazingly well at engine braking because it has so many gears to choose from. Going down a 10-degree slope, first or second gear in 4L provides sufficient engine braking to not need the additional use of the brakes.
It's a mile and a half of ten degree downhill to get down...
I had issues with the rear window squeaking against the tailgate when driving off road for the first year or two. I put a small towel in the gap when I got to the dirt, which stopped it. But after a few years it doesn't do that anymore. But I've also worn the paint off of the top edge where...
I have a rather tiny fold-up shovel and it fits in there by the jack along with a tow strap, two soft shackles, and a couple of other random things that I might need someday. The stuff that I use every time I'm out in the dirt I keep in a bag behind the rear seat.
The ones made by Ford that I ordered with mine are excellent. I like WeatherTech and all (I have their mudflaps), but I don't see how they could be better than the Ford floor mats.
I drop to 19 or 20 before heading into the dirt and aim for 38-40 when I air back up. The next morning they'll show 36.
I can't really tell the difference of 1-2 psi on either end. I just want to be in the ballpark and that works for me.
Four tire inflator/deflator system. It makes a huge difference in the rough stuff to drop down to 20 psi, then to be able to air back up once back on pavement.
