Your point is somewhat valid - however, I purchased the Bronco to flat tow not get into high center situation. I chose safery of towing over a possible recovery point need. Just my view of things

Just FYI - I got the OTA update (22-1010) a few weeks ago. I already had a service appointment scheduled so I went to the dealer today and explained everything to them. They hooked up the tool and my 2022, Bronco did receive another update specific to the ABS. I haven't put it in Neutral Tow yet...

It seems like the NSA Ready Brute Elite II with surge brake might be the best option. I am pretty sure that will be the flat tow system I end up purchasing. I had been holding off waiting on the Ford software update but......... time to move forward now.
