My milage keeps going down too, about 5mpg to 7mpg lower than the first 3,000 miles. No matter how careful I drive or road conditions. :curse:
OTA updates or something?
I have the OEM rack, and took the first cross bar off -- no MPG change.
(I have the cross bar off because I am working on...
Quick DIY soft shackle, 60 second job.
'had some 20-year-old 1/2 inch sailing line (the good braided stuff), and tied this shackle.
I'll count on it to have:
30 lb Working Load
35 lb Ultimate Breaking
:inspect:
Probably stronger, but the line is over 20 years old .... what the heck, something...
Yeah, I did my usual half-ass job of hosing the main area under the flares, but didn't get it too well, like to the narrow places of those open cylindrical areas by the turn tabs.
I now have another 1/4 pound of dirt from 3 states out on the driveway, .
Removed fender flares for the first time; over a year and 9,500 miles.
'had a handful of gravel and sand rattling around up in the flares from the past year of easiesh trails from Bishop (CA) to Baker (WA).
Cleaned them and the interfacing fender surfaces well, used 303 on the flares and clips...
installed my DIY antenna delete kit. 2025 badlands has a male stainless threaded stud.
I've turned the AM/FM radio on once to check that it worked, 'never listen to it.
I got tired of having the antenna being beaten around by shrubs and on the highway, especially in headwinds.
This can...
Finally got around to installing the Curt hitch receiver I've had in a box for almost a year.
2025 Badlands Sasquatch, 2-door.
I performed one and a half installations! -- the new bolts would not fit per the instructions with the nuts facing rearward. I had to remove them and turn them to face...
My 5-year-old grandson didn't believe this was real when I showed him this photo and told him I had a hard time getting back into my Bronco after a hike.
Several weeks late in reporting this:
2,400 mile trip from north of Seattle down into California, through Santa Rosa then Sacramento, and into the Bishop area.
Had to see what the Buttermilk road was all about -- after watching several YouTube videos of the trail, I recognized much of it...
Same here.
2025 2.3, 9,500 miles.
Added coolant twice to be midway between min and max and the level went back to just below minimum. Slowly, however — longer than two weeks to drop back down.
No smoke, no odors of coolant, no visible leaks or residue. The oil shows nothing odd.
I do not...
A easy improvement:
Ford will stop referring to the Bronco as an “SUV”. !
Calling it an SUV puts it into the same vision as a Mazda CRV or Hyundai Tucson.
Just spent some time in the Pacific Northwest snow yesterday.
Besides messing around on an empty highway (Hwy 2, east of Stevens Pass) which was just a broad white playground, between sets of cars following a pilot car I am assuming, I took the Bronco up a few gravel roads at a lower elevation...
I had pet chickens some years back, and those eggs were the best! All those bugs, fresh grass, small frogs...whatever they could get their beaks into. Crappy dirt and crud on the shells, for sure.
Hey, while I have some of the most experienced Bronco-jocks on the line, I have two...
Sheesh, I get busy and miss 3 days of this....and am so far behind now, my comments are fossils.
80s, worked DoD SECRET project with nuclear tipped thing-a-mabobs, waiting for the sexy spies at bars they warned us about... no drugs allowed,... music bad then, but laugh with it now...
