Update. IAG immediately emailed me after I contacted them. When taking the pics they requested I noticed the top of one of the struts wasnāt popped on to the ball. Only one strut was lifting. Now it works flawlessly!
thanks for the quick response IAG.
Installed the version 2 struts last night. Not impressed. Once released, they raise the top about 2-3ā then I have to push it up. Once up it stays up.
Looked through previous threads and they do mention the version 2 is for heavier newer softies, which I have.
maybe they shipped me the V 1ās by...
Havenāt towed w the Bronco yet, but w a full load of firewood in a 5āx10ā, I wish I had had them once. 4 Runner brakes were struggling. I had used Air Ride bags in a 3rd gen Pathfinder. They work. Iād buy again if I needed them.
On my ā74, when I wheel it, I put the spare in the back area. Steel wheel w a 33ā spare on an old tire carrier didnāt make me feel good. I lay it flat and strap it down in an X pattern. The. All the gear get thrown on top of it.
Buddy installed the FO tune and he likes it. Heās picky and has driven a few HP German cars. If and when I rack up enough points, Iāll prolly get the FP tune also since I have an extended warranty. He did mention the combo of the tune and Sport mode though. Maybe thatās the sweet spot?
Whatād ya drive before the Bronco? Personally think the Squaat Bronco handles well for an SUV on 35ā tires. You may have recalibrate what your definition of good handling is.
Is id brand new or purchased used?
Sounds like you got a lemon. I have a late year built ā23 and outside of the two recalls , itās been good. (Knocking on wood). Coworkers son in law had some lemon Bronco. Dealer bought it back. If it were me, Iād be calling Ford for them to credit me the price I paid for the lemon and sell me a...
