I’ve only seen people with 2.7l have issues with the phasers.

Picked up my bronco today after they dropped in a reman long block. Everything seemed good on the long drive home. The out of town dealership had great service! After reading the work report it’s pretty clear that the initial phaser repairs weren’t done properly and that led to my engine...

@BroncoFanTX, mine definitely has a rattle sporadicly. I’m hoping it’s fixed but we’ll see. If I do have to get it repaired again I’m definitely choosing a different dealership. Glad you got yours back and it didn’t take too long!

I got mine back last Monday. It seems ok so far. It idles a little rough and initially start up after it’s set for a while and I think sometimes I can still hear the phaser rattle. Hopefully I don’t have the issue again later down the road.

Still no Bronco. The tech finished the phasers and had everything put back together…. Then it jumped timing. Dealership said they’d know next week if there was damage. They said it’d take 3-5 days to get a long block here if I needed to have the whole engine replaced. At this point I’m not sure...
