I change the fluid about every 10K. I drain, measure, and refill with the same quantity. I order the Motorcraft ULV online. It's cheap insurance for me.
Not sure why youāre upset with Ford. There wasnāt an issue until the stock exhaust was removed. No turbo V6 is going to sound good with an aftermarket exhaust system in my opinion. There no significant performance gain from a cat-back system either.

I'm currently running three sets of KO2s on a Bronco, F150, and Tundra. All different sizes and no balance issue at all. I've owned several BFGs over the last 35 plus years with no issues. Finding a shop that knows what they're doing is the key.
Thanks for sharing, and kudos for the DIY effort. Many would say that's why you should always trust the professionals only. I would use this as an opportunity to learn and move on. Hopefully the dealer will be able to salvage the caliper so it's not too tough a lesson.
