  1. 2022 Ford Bronco rear differential noise due to bearing failure

They now informed me that Ford would not authorize replacement of the casing, but when they started pulling it apart, a bunch of metal came out. Now Ford has authorized replacement of the casing as well. I’m still waiting on the diagnosis of the flutter sound which they attributed to a waste...
  2. 2022 Ford Bronco rear differential noise due to bearing failure

2023 Badlands Sasquatch...33k miles. Started hearing a variety of noises....some from friction, other possibly turbo related. Took it to the dealer who just informed me of a catastrophic failure of the differential. Waiting to hear the detailed diagnosis. Not even discussing the other noises...

  4. Kicker 200.4 Amp tuning

My setup… MY23 Badlands SAS SubDelete Dash- Polk Audio DB402 Kick panel-Focal 6.5” ACX165 Rear Pods- Polk Audio DB602 Sub- 8” 48CWRT84 Fusion Amp Kicker 200.4 After MONTHS of playing with tuning, nothing I did improved a muddy, distorted sounding output. I reran the DSP setup multiple times...
  5. Kicker 8” vs 6 3/4 subwoofer

I replaced the kick panel speakers with ACX165’s. Major improvement.
  6. Kicker 8” vs 6 3/4 subwoofer

I just finished fitting the 8” into the non-B&O enclosure. Pretty easy but take your time and PLAN. ITS SO WORTH IT!!! 1. Pull the necessary panels. 2. Remove the the enclosure…make sure all connections are free. 3. remove the sub 4. Use the cutouts from the Sub packaging to trace your...
  7. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Jim… I’m moving up to the 8” 4ohm Kicker sub from the 6 3/4. The 6 sounds a bit “mid-rangey” to me. Can I get away with using a dremel to enlarge the opening without taking out the enclosure? Also, do I simply enlarge the entire hole in the same position or do I need to reposition the opening a...
  8. 7 speaker audio system (non B&O) disassembly instructions & wiring info

@RagnarKon question for you. My set up still sounds very muddy at low volumes. It sounds great once I put the volume at 18 or over, but that’s just too loud for most listening. Would it make a difference if I adjusted the gains on the kicker 200.4 with the volume set at between 10 and 12? The...
  9. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

I really couldn’t tell you if I have a heat issue. The amp is installed under the steering column on the steel plate. It’s been operating fine. I’m not sure if there would be any audio related symptoms that would indicate the load is an issue. So far all good. However, I do fave bass blockers on...
  10. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Your speaker upgrade is spot on. But it's like you dropped an engine with twice the horsepower into your car but did nothing with the tranny. Of course you'll see an improvement, but the potential of the hardware you've upgraded isn't being realized with the stock head unit. The Kicker amp will...
  11. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Turns out I have the exact same setup. I switched from the 2 to the 4ohm because the 2ohm was very “muddy”. The 4ohm gave a lot more clarity and a cleaner sound stage.
