Good to know! Thanks for confirming this isn't a one off issue. When you drilled your siderail did you seal up the powder coating with anything? Yes! Very annoying. I considered drilling the side 90s to expand them from M6 or 1/4" to M8 or 3/8" like the 270 bracket, but didn't want to mess up...
