  1. Another Sta-Bar Disconnect Saga

Been fighting the sta-bar disconnect error for going on 5 years on ā€˜21 Badlands. All associated hardware has been replaced, including antilock brake module which they thought had a short in it. No joy. Ford engineering is supposedly involved with trying to find a solution. Frustrating.
  2. Is it necessary to strengthen the windshield?

Looks like it’s probably just a decal made to look like shattered glass.
  3. Is it the glass... or the windshield angle?

It’s a combination of angle, extremely thin glass and bad luck. I’ve seen my own front tires throw a rock straight up, how? I don’t know as I have big mud flaps and the tires don’t project outside the flares. And yes, very conscious of following too close to other vehicles, but it’s the ones you...
  4. What Do Want to See Ford Bring Back on the Bronco

As long as we are wishing. A manual parking brake An instrument gauge package that is instinctive, no bar graph. Swing out spare tire carrier. Fold down tailgate with retractable glass, that works on the soft top as well as the hard top.0
  5. Need Recommendations - Utah Trip

Several years ago drove through Dixie NF in March and there was a lot of snow. Hopefully someone local will chime in.

  7. Lights and the wife.

And she fishes as well! You’re a lucky man.
  8. Tire Pressure -- 35 vs 39 PSI (ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS)

Tire pressure is a compromise, between ride comfort, tire wear and mpg. No one pressure does it all. off roading calls for a lower pressure for ride comfort and traction. I lower my pressure in the winter for hopefully better traction, raise it in the summer for better mpg.
  9. Trail Etiquette

you are correct, I had it backwards!
  10. Trail Etiquette

Downhill vehicles have the right of way. As do horses if you encounter them. Just common sense and courtesy go a long way.
  11. How to clear this warning screen?

I’ve fought the random sta-bar failures since my ā€˜21 Badlands was new. Dealership finally tracked it down to a short in the ABS control module. After waiting 2 months the part is finally in, next week to swap it out.
  12. Is this undercarriage rust a cause for concern?

Fluid film or any similar product, even used engine oil, wiped onto the underside will help. If you’ve ever had vehicles that had an oil leak you’ll notice the the difference in corrosion, at least I have. Wipe off the oily parts and it was like new underneath. I remember the frames on older...
  13. Engine block heater recall (2021-2024 Bronco)

My Bronco is a manual so I opted for the block heater. My vehicle usually sits outside so I set up a timer to turn on at 4 am, plug it in when it’s going to be down to 15 or colder. What’s nice is it warms up under the hood a little bit, might help the battery stay a little bit warmer...

Some good ideas. I’ll add zip ties, you can never have too many. Come in handy for a variety of things, emergency repairs etc.
  15. KO2s or is the Bronco

    Right at 20K miles.
