  1. Going back to stock exhaust questions.

3 hours labor sounds excessive. It took me less than an hour to install a Borla cat back system on my Bronco. It's a simple swap since it uses the factory attachment points and hangers. You could most likely do it yourself. x2 on finding a used system to install. An aftermarket system can be in...
  2. MPG

Normal. It takes more horsepower to push through the air at those speeds. The sweet spot for my 2 door 2.7 BaseSquatch is 63 MPH, about 22 mpg. Starts dropping above tat speed, 21 at 65 mph.
  3. $200 at Ford Accessories - What to Buy?

You can now also use your points towards purchases at the Ford merch site.... t-shirts, hats, etc. This seems to be new, I got an e-mail notice a few days ago. https://merchandise.ford.com
  4. Painted Fender Flares - Paint Finish vs. Body

I'm kinda a paint guy (hobby) and you are correct! Application variables of metallic paint will affect the outcome. The metallic flakes are 'floating' in the paint layer, so variables such as layer thickness, amount of reducer, angle of surface (horizonal vs vertical), air pressure, and even...
  5. 2-door cargo privacy cover

There are rollup/retractable cargo covers avail for 4 door Broncos, maybe they'll fit the 2 door too. Or make your own from a window shade.
  6. $200 at Ford Accessories - What to Buy?

I used my points towards an extended warranty. When I looked a few years ago, the hood struts were a good buy. They were made by Redline and priced similarly.
  7. Bag of screws in glove box?

Nice bonus, MSRP on that bolt kit is $171 !
  8. Railcar Tracking

Here's how to track the rail shipping: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/here-are-the-bronco-build-tracking-links.22795/ You do need the railcar number to do so. Ask your dealer or call Ford customer service. Word was customer stopped giving out the info. Try calling a few times to get...
  9. Undercarriage minor rust preventive action

Thanks for the info, I'll be looking into it. I was considering the Waxoyl Hardwax products, also a wax based product avail as a black or a semi-transparent coating.
  10. New Order Delay

It happens. It's practically impossible to get an explanation from the dealer or Ford cust service. Mine was built 3/20/23, friend had hers built the same week and the same dealer. Hers got shipped right away and arrived (via rail) on 5/7/23. Mine sat somewhere (a remote parking lot) at Ford...
  11. 2029 GMC Jimmy coming with V8, BOF, removal roof, retro styling to take on Bronco

As usual, GM is a couple years late to the 'retro' party. (think 2005 Mustang, then Camaro and Challenger following Ford's intro). Some competition could be a good thing....The V8 option should give Ford some incentive to also offer a V8. I do wish GM would go back a generation to the 67-72...
  12. Kooks exhaust system feedback

Lethal has a review of the Kooks Street Series exhaust on their site: https://www.lethalperformance.com/bronco-exhaust-guide
  13. Borla Muffler Addon to Stype Catback

I was wondering that too. I took a look at the installation instructions.... While the pipes are the same pn on the two systems, the muffler pn's are different, #57817 for the Touring and #57818 for the S-Type. I have no idea what the difference is. I went the in the other direction you did...
  14. OEM “FoMoCo” 2.7ltr Oil Filter Iteration?

There's a link to a YT video in this thread, should explain it for you: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2-7-3-0-oil-filter-brand-comparison-visual.121517/
  15. Looking to remove my front two panels only and have a cover for that when I park

Do you want something waterproof or to just keep debris and bird crap out? Something like a roll-up window shade or cargo cover could be adapted.
