Probably from the carpet on the underside of the cargo floor. Had the same issue in my BD, pulled it and stuck it in front of a shop fan for a few hours.
Normally I channel my inner Dexter and wrap whatever up in plastic and throw it in the back. Couldn’t find my plastic the other day so I threw a small hog on the JCR brush guard. Rode 12 miles without issue
if you’re gonna daily drive them I wouldn’t recommend the 9.00-16 super traxions.
1. they’re horrible in the rain
2. They can literally separate brand new. I had one bubble with less than 200 miles on it.
3. They’re nylons. If it’s cold they ride like bricks until they warm up.
not to...
I’ll roll 23k on the way to work tomorrow morning, took delivery 7/16/21. Only broke a tailgate strut so far. Still awaiting my MIC 2.0, first one arrived damaged.
Can confirm. Drove my 73 u15 in high school. I gave all passengers a warning advising anything within the confines of the vehicle will be the temperature of the sun after a few minutes in this Florida heat
Same issue here. I’ve noticed it only occurs when the rear seal is dirty and a wipe with a damp paper towel seems to remedy it. However the lower plastic piece on the inside is conviently designed to collect water it seems which gives you a nice wake up when lifting the glass post downpour.
