Nah, this is something different from what you’re talking about.
If you double press the minus button, it won’t start locking out higher gears, which is what the progressive range selection is.
This feature isn’t temporary like the bronco is.
Unless they changed something in recent model years, Bronco has never had this feature before.
So it’s either new, or a mistake in the owners manual.

Yes. The parking brake can act as an emergency brake, but it’s not necessarily designed for that.
If you look in your owners manual it will tell you how to use your parking brake in emergency situations if needed.
There are part numbers for "fully dressed engines" but typically those aren't available except in some situations like this.
Most service engines options are either long blocks or short blocks.
I don't know what Ford is going to do with this recall because there is no parts information yet...

Since the bronco has a 10R60, it’s not something you need to be worried about. It’s really only a big concern on older 10R80 transmissions.

Build dates have never been accurate on any Bronco recalls. Build dates really don’t matter, affected actual VINs do.
There’s multiple ones claiming build dates of 9/2020 when the Bronco didn’t even start production until like June of 2021 lol
It’s just a drum that houses the C, D and F clutches. There’s a bushing in the middle that moves when it’s not supposed to and causes all sorts of shenanigans
