Last year I did Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase-Escalante; this year Glacier; offroad trails, on stock Black Diamond suspension. I NEED to upgrade to some better coilovers. Next spring new tires and coilovers is on my to-do list.
I have the Rough Country version of these, Osram lights, floods. I love them. Two pairs, A-pillar and top corners of the front bumper. All pointed at the ditch, very bright and wide-angle.
I thought about doing this with my ditch lights. Can light up the right side ditch without blinding oncoming cars. For now I have my passenger SAE white fogs pointed outward to the right.
My SAE fogs are DOT approved. The rest are for off-road or country roads, where I find most deer. I try to avoid night driving as much as possible., but have the lights just in case. $1k in lights is still cheaper than hitting a deer.
Lights were not a priority, until I hit a deer after 1 month of ownership. They went right to the top of my list. Two pair of Rough Country wide angle ditch lights, A-pillar and top corners of the bumper. Diode Dynamics lights in the bumper, yellow SAE fogs, white SAE fogs, and spots. Added...
Thank you all for the good info. I can live with 2.5-3" of lift. My other option would be the Eibachs but I like the Procomps better. What UCA's and rear track bar kit are people going with? Thanks.
Edit: I don't rock crawl or do any crazy offroad stuff (Canyonlands Shafer/Potash was...
I have a 2022 black diamond 2dr 7mt non-sas. Considering Pro Comps and at the most 35" pizza cutters. I want at the most a 2" lift. At what point is it necessary to switch out the steering rack, tie-rods, etc? Thanks.
I would love a hood mounted solar panel, but can't get past the output vs the price. I ended up mounting a bifacial 200w panel (Callsun $150) on top and can consistently pull over 150w.
I'm actually in Glacier NP this week... trying to camp in nearby national forests. Stopped into a nf camp, right away I see a sign, bear in camp today. Spoke to some campers and the camp host. They tried to scare it off but it was not deterred, it was not afraid. They waited in their cars or...
