There are safety margins baked into the algorithms that will defeat the process. While annoying, it is not detrimental to engine components designed for it.
Idling a minute or two after extended (N.O.T. has been reached) operation is not necessary, but is also fractionally beneficial, as it will lower fluid temps fractionally prior to shutdown.

A lot of this is subjective (what do you consider "moderate" trails? Is there any slope under this 6+" of snow? etc..), but a base Bronco is already way more capable than most 4x4's. I suspect you will be just fine, and might start mod'ing simply for want rather than need.... 🤠
