As to the seat, OP, you just gotta take some time, and adjust the seat from one extreme to the other, not necessarily what you are used to. As discussed, everything in the Bronco cockpit is very "upright"...
If your warranty is denied, consider some kind of a bed lining material, like Line-X. Search for the threads here, several have done it with great results, both DIY & professional application. It's what I will do, if I ever discover severe cracking.
