Congratulations Pew_Pew, that's a pretty bold line to cross that off the bucket list!
Inquiring minds want to know: Did you find yourself using the different GOAT modes in different terrain, or did you just hit the 4WD button once and mash the skinny pedal on the right?
The difference between stock tire size and new tire size puts my speedo reading 6-7mph slower than actual speed, a 9%-10% error is a big enough difference for me to want to correct. Helps me avoid any unscheduled interactions with the fine men and women of Law Enforcement. :)
I am double...
Yes, I now have the performance tune installed. One brief hiccup with a Check 4x4 warning, cured by the AWD Relearn function. Speedo is reading a bit fast according to GPS, so I’ll need to adjust the revolutions per mile on the tire size a bit to get it dialed in closer.
I did not find this info in a search, so hopefully this will help someone else in the future:
It can be done.
Today I downloaded a 14 day trial version of Parallels onto a 2020 Mac Mini running an M1 Chip. I was able to download the ProCal program and update it with no drama.
If you're not...
I'll share my 2¢. I've got the Wolfbox G840S.
Installation isn't difficult, most 'complicated' part is correctly identifying where connect the two power wires to the fuse block. The version I have has rubber straps that mounts the new mirror over the existing mirror.
I spent a lot of time...
It can be wrapped but I would advise against it because of poor durability. 3M's solid color 2080 wrap film, arguably the industry standard, warranties a 7 year vertical application and a ONE YEAR horizontal application for 70% of the continental US (what they call Zone 2), even less in the...
Averaging 20mpg commuting 20 miles round trip. 5,900ft of elevation to 5,400ft, premium gas (91 octane here). Base 2.3L, 7MT 2 door. Running 17" KO2's, added a bit of weight with those, some steel DV8 side steps and a steel DV8 front bumper, the tire difference alone adds 131 pounds of weight...
I'd say a bit on the high side, assuming because it's 'client supplied" materials. If they mess something up, they might have to order and pay to ship in a yard or two of 60 inch material to fix it, so I'd say that price has a bit of 'sign guy insurance' built into it. If it was in-house...
That made me do a double take. I do graphics work for some local fellas that run 'tribute graphics' on their 1972 Bronco. More pics and info here https://www.methodracewheels.com/blogs/news/heritage-series-5-greenwood-oly-bronco
