    Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 that I restored to better-than-stock. It’s like driving a fighter jet. Sold it once everything was working at the same time. runner up is my bmw k1200r. It’s about the same amount of fun but with more fear involved. 200hp on two wheels is just stupid.

    I don’t think the stock sub output is full signal. You may want to try a different source. I think plug-and-play kits grabs the front door woofer for full signal.

    This is good info. Sounds like the reinforcement plate upgrade can get you up to 100lbs more weight over stock. (Edited)

    this doesn’t test how much weight it supports when opened. When closed there’s a lot of structural rigidity added by the tailgate lock and frame.

    yeah search didn’t turn up any tested weight specs. i was under the assumption that the current weight limit was because the tailgate would flex, but was not the limit of the hinges.

    Easiest: gearshade sub box and amp, plug and play kits adapter. Jlaudio custom sub box best: Mobridge dsp/amp, sub of your choice. Others have also fit a 6.5” or 8” into the stock sub box. I personally am aiming for the gear shade kit since the Mobridge doesn’t fit without a lot of work on...
