  2. How do you guys scout trails to use?

    like one of the other posters said, there is virtually no public land in texas... and bridgeport, while fun, feels like you are constantly bumping into folks and its probably not what you are hoping for. highly recommend making a long weekend of things up in OK or AR. some good trails like what...
  3. DIY tie rod end recovery kit & storage solution for cargo area tool kit space

    thanks. for posterity's sake, here is an Amazon list that i "replicated". i wasn't aiming to make it full of "the best" of these tools, just enough to get it done or what actually matched the kit (from what i could tell). bronco tie rod kit

    anyone have any aftermarket tie rod suggestions? just enough for repair and careful return while out on the trail? the OEM one is fairly expensive (imo, and compared to the one that used to come in the kit suggested in the thread (McQuay-Norris ES3234 tie rod)) to then probably buy upgraded...

  8. The allure of the soft top....

    Soft top all the way. North Texas so as soon as it hits the upper 60s the windows come out and I go Safari mode till it starts freezing again so I can flip it to any position at a whim, anywhere I happen to be.
  9. Soft Top Question

    have a 23 soft-top black diamond. i'm almost positive i know the corner and cable you are talking about. if you want to include a timestamp on the video that might help and get more responses. i was putting the corner under/behind the cable already just because it seemed like a more natural...

  11. Northwest OHV Park :: Bridgeport :: BD Non-SAS :: Bilstein 6112 2"

    I'll be perfectly honest, they told me once when I was there and then I promptly forgot. I think it was on the higher end to try and get it as close to the 2" as possible. Basically, mimicking the Ford Performance kit. Tires aren't too far out from getting put on, so when I'm there I'll ask and...
  12. Northwest OHV Park :: Bridgeport :: BD Non-SAS :: Bilstein 6112 2"

    I happened to have a quote from them for just install (if i were to source my own parts), and it was $875 for the labor (5 hrs) and $155 for the alignment. sourced the parts through them and they knocked $100 off the labor. got a couple different quotes from other shops and even a couple...

  14. Northwest OHV Park :: Bridgeport :: BD Non-SAS :: Bilstein 6112 2"

    Wife and I spent the morning over at Northwest OHV in Bridgeport before the heat cranked up. I know it's probably old news, but there are new listeners every day, right? Great place to break in your truck, and in my case the 2 month old coilovers, and learn how it handles. Varying difficulties...
