I never got on the hamster wheel of chasing that new car smell every 2-3 years. I don’t buy much stuff, though, just a few really nice things that last and I enjoy. Here’s to everyone finding what they want.
First few weeks?? I took delivery on 8/10/21 and I’m still looking for excuses to go for a drive every day. In all fairness, I did get a V6 two door in antimatter blue, though, so it makes sense.
A GMC Jimmy is much more appealing than my current plan: Scout Motors or Lincoln Bronco.
The Scout only comes in four doors and I don’t trust Volkswagen to make a product that lasts. The Lincoln Bronco seems more like another money grab by Ford than anything else, and it’ll probably be four...
It doesn’t have to make sense to you. It is what it is. A painted roof is objectively, irrefutably less utilitarian and instead pretty. That’s the obvious compromise here. But, of course, facts don’t matter to people clinging to an idea.
The problem with the painted roof is that it’s painted. This is supposed to be an off road vehicle but in reality it’s just another grocery-getter for most people.
All signs indicate the Lincoln Bronco will do well.
