I just lived with the whistle. I have the wind deflector with the cutout for a light bar with no light bar as I prefer that look. I’ve since bought an off-road trailer and moved my RTT to the trailer so no more whistle. Just run my ROAM boxes up there now. The fix is to close the gap with either...
After 40 hours driving round trip, got her home. Now to start the modding. Camping season for me will start in April with the Bronco Super Celebration, so want to be complete with all mods by then. Going to rewire the entire trailer but was surprised to see if comes pre wired for shore power and...
I’ve already designed a system using linear actuators that will lower the tent height when on road and raise it when at camp to get the center of gravity as low as possible. This system will replace the stock RTT risers. I’m also switching the wheels and tires to match my Braptor which uses 0...
Just bought a brand new Taxa Woolly Bear Overland edition. Going to go pick it up next week. Wanted a Patriot Camper but their prices have gone to the moon. The Woolly Bear checked all my boxes:
- Lightweight (1270lbs with a GVWR of 2200lbs)
- Timbren Independent suspension
- 12V system

(4) Dakota Lithium 18Ah batteries. They are discontinued. The Amped Outdoors 20Ah batteries are the direct replacement that American Adventures labs went to. They have the same dimensions as the Dakota batteries they replaced so they fit in the AAL cargo tray. In the future I will move to the...
Any issues with wiring 5 in parallel? The manual for these batteries states the max to wire in parallel is 4. Only reason I can think of for them to limit it to 4 probably has to do with the BMS on these batteries. I was thinking of switching my current system over from the Dakota Lithium...
Thanks for suggesting Mountains2Metal! Last night while flipping through their site, I came across their rear cargo passenger side molle panel. I believe I can buy that and use that to lower the mounting of my compressor a few inches. This would allow me to buy and install the AAL cargo shelf...
After talking with American Adventure Labs directly, I’ve decided to skip getting the shelf altogether. They confirmed with measurements that it will not fit in any configuration of the shelf.
The dual battery takes up all the space and the factory jack location houses all the extra airline I ran to each wheel well
Do your molle panels attach to the hardtop? I take my hardtop off for months at a time in summer and fall so wouldn’t work unless there’s no hardtop attachment points
Thanks for your help. Moving the compressor is not an option as there is no where else I can put the compressor. There are no mounts in the engine bay for the Braptor and the under the cargo floor spot is taken by my dual battery system. Mounting on the shelf is also not an option as I plan to...
