Another Impromptu trail ride tomorrow!
Good Afternoon! Time for another one of those impromptu group runs for Saturday!
Saturday Morning May 6th we’re going to take a leisurely run up and over 4 peaks. This is a very easy trail that is fantastic if you’re a newbie and are just trying to hit the dirt or if you are experienced and would just like an easy leisurely day in the dirt. Any Stock Bronco from Base on up can do this trail. The trail is also Bronco Sport friendly, so if you have a Bronco Sport that you are itching to get out on the trail, this is a good trial trail run for you. No real risk of AZ Pinstripes on this trail either. There are a few climbs and descents but nothing really considered technical on this trail.
We will meet up at the Cottonwood OHV Staging area which is the third staging area off the Beeline Highway 4 peaks exit. (Coordinates are 33.666885, -111.473948) at 10:00AM where we’ll air down and hit the trail. If you’re a newbie and don’t have what you need to air down and air back up, no problem we can help you out! If you’ve never taken your Bronco (or yourself) off-road, this is also a great trail for you.
Make sure and bring plenty of water and a lunch with you also a GMRS/FRS radio helps communication within the group, (we will likely be on channel 7). If you don’t have a radio, there are always folks with loaners as well.
Plan on about 2 to 2 ½ hours on the trail. It will bring us out at the top of Roosevelt lake and from there you can decide to either take highway 188 north to 87 and back to town, or South through Globe and back to town (or you can go back up and over 4 peaks the back way).
Look forward to seeing you out there if you decide to do this impromptu ride with us!
