Hey All, I wanted to get other Michiganders opinions on the soft top. Mainly, would you consider switching to one? I am in a bind here as I am down to one vehicle in the family for the last few months. My concern is if I hold out for hard top, I could be looking at Spring of next year.
My concerns for the soft top are:
1) Security - I live in SE MI and we all know we have alot of assholes around here. The car will be kept in a garage most days. This also includes camping, We lock alot of stuff in a car when camping and I feel like its a risk to have one up north. Thinking more while hiking and away from campsite.
2) Weather - This state is rainy and cold alot of the year. Not to mention humid in the summer. Worried on the insulation properties
3) Hard-Top as a Part - Not only will it be hard to get, but its going to be expensive. Not to mention, we may not have an OEM or 3rd party option until at least 2023.
Things that make me say why not:
1) I need a car by Jan-Feb
2)I like safari top style with the back windows out
3) I was gonna run topless most of the summer anyway
Build is BD, Mid, Tow, in A51.
