I know I am late to the game, but hoping I don't have to wait until this time next year to take delivery.
Website auto selected Autonation in Torrance for dealership. I see a lot of talk on here about switching to Kearny Mesa. Waiting on a reply back from Autonation about pricing and honoring any available discounts.
Does anyone know if California charges sales tax for nonresident military members that will be registering and tagging the vehicle in their home state?

@DoneThoo2 well, @EricAtKearnyMesaFord will also discount the value of anyone that can get an X Plan, plus no ADM’s, like extra security systems or pinstripe or sealant or glass etching. This can save a lot of additional $$$$. Call Eric, tomorrow, just to talk. You’ll like him. He’s a Manager, so he’s 9:00 to 5:00.

Hey y'all. For non-resident military purchases, you would still be responsible for paying CA sales tax. There is no way around that unless you flatbed tow the vehicle to your state-line. Most states do not require double tax payment though. For example, if you bought in SD but live and register in Vegas, you would pay our 7.75% tax, and then owe NV the difference between SD's 7.75% and Vegas's 8.38%, so .63% to NV. You'll want to check if your home state is the same.

Non-resident military does allow you to register the vehicle in your home state.

@Marc Hey Marc! Like Dan (ace) said, we are still honoring Xplan on the Bronco! That is contingent on you actually qualifying for Xplan of course though. Kinda. Ford cancelled availability of the X Plan for the Bronco. @EricAtKearnyMesaFord is still offering a discount, equal to the value of the X Plan, to all qualified buyers. Give him a call and he will help you find out how to get this discount that others won’t give to you.
