I was wondering if it actually helps getting in and out. It seems to be very close to the height you would have to step up into without them.. can you confirm?

Version 2 of the steps has a 2” drop in line, as you can see, with the bottom of the rock rail (version 1 is in line with the top of the rock rail). I’m 6’ for me doesn’t help much getting in, I do find I’m using it getting out. For my wife and two daughters it helps them greatly which is why I got the steps in the first place.
