back ur bronco up to a lake and sit out over the edge of the water like a makeshift pier
I used to drive my cj into the rivers on sandbars. Park it there under the bridges in about a foot of water, chill out and watch the canoers go by.

Tailgate, coupled with the swing away door will create an amazing food prep area where you don't have to lean over so far, and it's flatter.

Couple it with something like this and you've got a winner:

This guy did a makeshift table which our tailgate will suffice:

This has me super excited. Now my imagination is running wild with ideas of camping in the fall of 2021.

Depends on how many accessories you've bought for your Barbie AR-15...
I've got a scoped 12" AR pistol in 6.5 Grendel that nearly fits under the seat in a compact car with the brace collapsed, not that I've ever transported it that way. That'll expand JHP rounds out to at least 300 yards and stay supersonic out to ~800 yards. I'm having a hard time envisioning any scenario where a 42"x12"x4" drawer (or whatever it would be in the Bronco) would leave one lacking for firepower.

But we've got at least a generation of 'bros' out there that grew up playing Call of Duty or whatever and think they need access to a platoon's worth of firearms and ammunition at all times just to leave the house, "For protection". Ironically, many of them drive around vaping, with no seatbelt, on unsafe tire/suspension setups. Each of those 3 is about a bajillion times more likely to kill them than 'not having enough gun'.

Oh, I'm pretty sure you could fit a full A2 in that space. But there are things a guy could hang on on an AR-15 that make it significantly wider than stock.

The pic that @steverollin posted is an exaggeration, but it sort of makes my point. Depending on what you hang on the side rails, you can make the gun wider than 4", which means it won't lay down in that space.

The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HL-X is a thick girl, for example. If you side mount it, your rifle becomes significantly wider. I haven't measured to see if it makes the rifle wider than 4" (and that will probably depend on your rail system, mine's mounted on a first gen MOE carbine fore end, so it's at a slight angle), but if it does, then you're not laying that down in the drawer.

Yep 4 inches deep would be plenty of room to work. Think how much you can fit in a pelican case. That just gave me another idea. Precut closed cell foam inserts. Wonder if that has ever been done in a drawer pull out.

If you look at what the jeep and overland guys do with modular systems and drawers, it's pretty awesome. Granted most of those guys are going a lot bigger with multilevel drawers, cooler pull outs, cook stations etc. I could see there being a market for this for sure.

I'm getting a two door so the benefits are much less with that small of a space. It would still solve the problem of levelling the floor with the rear seats down. That's a plus. And I was also thinking. Let's say you roll around with your top off a lot. So long as your car is locked and your back gate is closed, the tray/drawer system would be pretty secure to 99% of the thieves out there. If you can't open the gate, it's hard to see how you get to the contents of the drawers. Also keeps your stuff hidden which is the only thing I miss about none of my cars or SUVs having trunks.

I know you're being silly... but since switching to an mlok rifle my quality of life has never been better.
Yeah just messing around. Been done with quad rails for years. Mostly MLOK and the keymod I have I wish was MLOK but not worth switching.
