Unfortunately, Ford needs to appease the masses and not just this forum. All while still being able to manage the logistics of everything.

They may be reading this forum, but we need to understand as a community that many of the things we want may not come into fruition. At least not for the first model year.
We all understand those possibilities that Ford could do nothing about this for awhile or at all for that matter. But instead of encouraging that notion how about we continue to ask for what we want and let them know our disappointment now before it is too late? All of these members whether we like it or not understand what could or could not happen. We want Ford who is listening and looking at this forum to know what we want because Ford has done great so far working off of feedback.

I’m not encouraging any notion. I’m simply stating the very realistic scenario that Ford could not change anything. That way if that is the case people won’t say, “but you said you were listening!” People need to come to terms that it could very likely not happen even if Ford is listening. This isn’t just for the FE interior, but for everything being complained about lately on this forum.

To be fair, Mike only said they’re listening which could very likely just be PR talk. That does not necessarily mean that they’re going to change anything. Their hands may be tied this late in the development stage and all the complaining in the world won’t change anything.

I’m sure there are more variables to consider that may not be very apparent to the consumer which impacts their decision to only one interior on the First Edition. As I’ve mentioned multiple times, giving more options means more configurations. If Ford is planning on building these first while the other orders come in then they likely want the least number of possible configurations. That’s why they fully optioned this trim and limited the number of interior and exterior options.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if there were focus groups that liked this combination and that’s why they went with it. As demonstrated in this thread and other threads, there ARE people who like the interior. For all we know, that could be the majority; we don’t have access to this type of data that Ford likely does.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer to some people in this thread, but am just tempering expectations on the likely reality of the situation.
Debbie Downer. LOL. I understand the realities only too well! But in a JiT environment, they are not making the interiors now for June delivery. They have plenty of time to take some of the other schemes and add it to the mix.

I absolutely agree that they want to keep variation down. I don't know their strategy, but if they want FEs out first (which I am assuming they do???), then they are not going to want too many options. Thus keeping the pressure on Ford to offer two alternatives seems to be appropriate, even if those alternatives are the "best of" from the other models (since they claim the FE is the "best of the models"). This should have no interruption to their supply chain. But who am I? Ford are the experts...Oh, yeah, Supply Chain and Business Optimization is what I get paid to do for technology companies (Amongst other things)! :)

Each of us already know this reality. We are only asking. We know that nothing is certain. But when this idea continues to be stated again and again Ford gets to rely on that. It could not happen. You are right. But it also can happen. Let it be that. Not saying to get your hopes up. Just putting it out there for Ford to understand our disappointment.

The first rule of negotiation - ASK. You never know what the answer will be until you actually state what you want.

What if Ford had created an interior that was rainbow colored? Do you think any of these arguments would still be applicable LOL?

I’m not sure if everyone is aware of this reality. Many people are way too focused on the “we’re listening” part without taking into consideration that is just PR lingo that holds no water. The phrase has been mentioned probably at least a dozen times in this thread alone. This topic is being discussed in 3 or 4 threads now, if Ford hasn’t “listened” by now then I doubt they will. Could it happen? Sure. But there is absolutely no promise.

And let’s be honest, Ford isn’t going to look at my posts and think, “This guy is right! We should just piggy back off what he says.” The ability or inability to change the First Edition interior at this point in the development cycle is likely already known by Ford. And they know there are people out there who are completely happy with the navy blue interior and there are people who would want more options. They’re going to base their decision on internal variables that we have no visibility to and not solely on the content of these threads that likely only encompass a relatively small fraction of Bronco buyers.

But yes completely agree with you there. All we can do is continue to ask. Being persistent is essential. Ford will do what Ford wants to do as said 123456789 times. Not helping anything by saying this again and again.

And this thread also has many of the same people repeating the same thing about how they dislike the interior. Their stance is also very evident at this point. Why can they reiterate their points in multiple posts and I cannot?

Personally, I do not like the interior on the FE either. But I don’t think telling me I’m not helpful when I’m trying to temper expectations and bring the reality of the situation to the surface is necessarily a bad thing.

You can continue to reiterate your point all you want. But at the end of it all is it helping to potentially change anything? No it is not. We want Ford to read the feedback that could be beneficial to modifying their decisions. We are not here to claim oh well and solidify them.

Also almost no one on this thread is liking your posts lately because you are becoming the bearer of bad news LOL.

My contributions will not sway Ford to not make the change as everything I’ve stated is what Ford already knows. They probably have already evaluated the situation and made the decision, and it’ll be reflected in the build and price tool next month.

If it makes you feel better, I do want Ford to give you all more options for an interior. That is my stance. My other contributions are just a parallel thought on the subject, and still on topic.

I am also not here to farm reactions to my posts. I am on this forum to contribute my thoughts and opinions on various different topics related to the Bronco.

Agree to disagree. My thoughts are that they are continuing to listen and read this forum and that continuously stating this reality is reinforcing their original decision. Whether you think it is or not it definitely plays its role.

Glad to know you are also against the Blue Death interior. You are either for it or against it. There is no lukewarm neutral ground.

As for sharing opinions that is great. That is what the forum is here for. To learn and share in hopes of influencing listeners and readers. Like you said it is not about reactions. But those reactions tend to but not always speak for the worth of the post. Just want you to know and understand that it is truly not beneficial anymore since we already know the reality. Yes your point is true and on topic. It has come and gone and no longer demands repetition.
