“during the week before your "blend date" the body of your vehicle is produced(built) and sent to the paint department.”

The whole premise of my conversation with motor city is that he says the body and chassis are built a week BEFORE it goes to trim.

not sure what you are saying anymore, you just seem to be making noise. as you can see, he says "during" you are saying he says "a week" before. do YOU mean SEVEN days before blend? he's saying it's sometime during the 7 days before your blend date.

what does it matter? can you not tell when someone is joking around with you.. I'm done with this side bar, have a better day!!!

OK, that bottom date on my window sticker changed again. (I keep checking it now and again, just to make sure it still exists...). Did we ever determine what makes that date change? I was originally 10/21 and now it shows 10/29 on the bottom. Is that like the labor equivalent of "contractions starting"?

my 2 boys are just as excited. Especially my young one. (11 & 6) I tried to include them on the process as much as I could. They 'helped' pick the color, style, etc... I say 'helped' bc I still made the final decisions, just made it seem like they were in on it.

Typical brother style though, one wanted A51 and the other Cactus Gray. And literally fought over it. haha. I felt bad on that one bc I actually had to choose one over the other, vs if they liked colors I didn't... I went with CG, as you can see. But my little guy really wanted A51. Or Rapid Red. (primary colors, I don't think he could figure out CG, haha)

Plus my 11yr will likely get this truck in 5yrs.

Oh, and they named it this week. Choices were Oscar (6 yr old) & Broncowski (11yr old). Oscar won for being so random.

disclaimer, we're not New England or Tampa fans. Just my son has been playing flag this year, and the coach refers to him as 'their Gronk'. (he's a big kid with good hands) So I think that's what lead him to Broncowski.

Love that your boys are so invested. My boys are excited, they just don’t want to talk about it anymore, haha. They are big sports fans so all they really want to talk about is sports (they would 1000% have picked Broncowski!) My older son is turning 16 so he of course is like can I drive it, and I’m like ummm ….
Off topic, but any tips on caring for a soft top in the snow? We are big ski/snowboarders and head to Mammoth every winter.

So I'm not the only one who keeps telling their wife and kids every tiny update on the Bronco process? My 7 year old son and I have watched all the roof and door removal videos for the soft and hard top, just so we are ready. My wife doesn't believe they're actually building mine, which would suck, cause I just sold my car.

Yep, My 11 yr old finally told me straight out that him and my husband were sick of hearing about all the status reports on the Bronco. This forum is all I have now...
As of 7:30AM ..no update to my WS, but I just checked from work and now it's updated to 10/29! WOO HOO! Progress!

I remember reading the bristles on the regular ones can scratch the soft top.

Mammoth is on my list! But never been. Only Tahoe in California. We're east coast, so heading to VT this winter!

sorry man. I knew someone that had extra QC done on their bronco and it was delayed about a week. He got it with over 20 something miles on it, and had a note in it saying such.

Maybe that's it?

yeah, I mean, I'm an east coast rider. Winds & wind blow ice is our thing.

Ever hear of Whiteface NY? (1980 Olympics) They call it Iceface. Bc it's so damn cold, and wind blow.

I love heading out west, but marriage and kids have gotten in the way of those trips, lol. Last I was out in SLC about 4yrs ago? ugh, I love SLC. Best snow on earth!

OK, glad we went here. A soft top in Chicago had me concerned with snow. Do you guys know anything about the "Original", "New", or "2019" versions of this??? I will definitely be buying one of these, and I was going to assume New = Best?

Modules updated still says in production but its for sure built. Probably off to add accessories today. Delivery date updated too. 11/22 to my dealership.

In this image we see the "blending" of the painted body( with soft top already installed), to the rolling chassis.
This is the point on the time line that your "blend date" speaks of.

Chassis is built during the week before your "blend date".
Once your window sticker is assigned this process has begun.

during the week before your "blend date" the body of your vehicle is produced(built) and sent to the paint department.

This is now making since to me with what is happening with the occasional date changes at the bottom of our WS. During the week when the body is assembled and painted, as the chassis is built, some part of the system is probably referencing our WS.

Some of these steps probably trigger an update to the date on bottom date of the WS.

So as we have been seeing this happen to our WS this week it is all part of the build leading up to our blend day - final day or two of our build.

We don’t get out of CA much for the snow - pretty much stick to Mammoth (expensive sport, don’t want to pay extra for flights). I do like the Utah resorts, though. So easy to get to from the airport.
