Hi everyone. I don't post much but I thought that I would give my story to give others a guide to time lines. I know I am one of the lucky ones but like others have said, in my case, definitely worth it.

Reserved 9:30pm 7/13/20, ordered 1/26/21 - BB, 2-door, 2.7, tow, Area 51. Blend date 07/14/21 and then she sat on dirt mountain. Built notice 10/05/21, shipped notice 10/07/21 with an estimated delivery date of 11/07/21. I kept checking and the delivery date was updated to 10/23/21. Actually delivered to Tomball Ford on 10/21/21 and I was able to pick up on 10/22/21. Absolutely no issues with Tomball Ford. I was one of the many who didn't even think about a purchase agreement. They said (and emailed) MSRP and they honored that. Great communication and easy taking delivery. If anyone feels the need to switch, I would definitely recommend them and Jorge Lopez.

Hope to make it to the next get together.

Seashell, I’m new to the forums because I just converted my 21 order reservation to 22 because I wanted to wait for the 22 model. I just put it an order with tomball ford and the guy I was working with told me I had to take apex protection and nano shield totaling $1,400 above msrp. He justified it by saying if anyone buys from tomball ford it’s mandatory and that other dealers are marking up $5k-$10k. This is my first time buying a new vehicle (always bought used cars from relatives) and just wondering if this guy is taking me for a ride by adding those charges on the purchase agreement.

I bought mine at Tomball. I took both those options and they were just that. Options! Not mandatory. They were presented as options. Curious who your salesman is.

Definitely not mandatory on my side. They say that they put the Apex system on all of their vehicles and I was aware of it before I picked up. But I didn't feel any pressure to keep it. After we went over how it works and the details, I kept it for my own piece of mind. And no mention of the nano shield. I dealt with Jorge Lopez. As I said, I didn't have a purchase agreement to start with but with all of the craziness I felt lucky. Now that they are making people sign one, it wouldn't hurt to push back and tell them you don't want the extras. Also be prepared for them to offer tint, accessories, extended warranty, etc. at time of delivery. Don't feel pressured to accept any of it. Go in with a number in your head (msrp, tax, all of the document fees with inspection and title - approx $400) and stick with it. Good Luck

Yeah I like the idea of having Apex GPS on mine. I would hate for it to disappear on me. I did my tint at a place close to where I work. Plus the dealers have had a hard time making money these days. So I don’t mind supporting them with some add ons. But all those things should be optional. Let us know what happens!

I got some ceramic tint from one of my customers, worth the money!
What brand was it and what %’s did you do? Seems like there’s a lot of stuff on the market and trying to figure out what the best option is
