Reserved my Black Diamond on the 15th. 2 door and standard options are fine with me because I love a manual transmission and the rubber floors with vinyl seats. Only trouble I'm having is the color options. Got it narrowed to 3 colors

Velocity Blue
Rapid Red
Cyber Orange

Definitely think my choice in Black Diamond is the way to go. Just have to see how the options shake out between August (Configure tool goes online) and factory order time.

Well, if you want gears based on another vehicle with different specs. be my guest. You're going to be disappointed with 4.10s and 35s on the Bronco, but I guess if you're driving an auto, what does it matter? Just push the skinny pedal to the floor and it will eventually get where you want it to.
BD is a 4.46, my point is I run 4.10 on the same trans with similar hp.tq to weight and it works well, 4.46 will be even better, but if you some personal experience driving the Bronco, please tell us. ;)

No, just personal experience with off road and gears. Enough to know comparing different vehicles gears is somewhat meaningless, but like I said, if you're driving an auto, just push the skinny pedal and don't worry about it. It's not so much of a big deal. If you don't want low gears, don't get them. It'll help out your interstate driving.

Reasons I got the BD:
rubber floor/drains
rear locker
steel bumpers
rock rails
steel wheels (love the look)
4.46 gears

What I am not happy about is the BD comes with General Grabbers. Yeah, Generals.
I will be replacing at the dealership with Cooper ST MAXX 285/75/17s
Can you expalin your comment on the grabbers to a n00b?

I have nothing personal against Grabbers. They are a decent tire. I would not call them a great tire. I find some of the tire choices made by Ford odd, but this is by far the oddest. The worst thing is they are only 31.6 inches per General. I don't call that 32 inches, but I get the rounding up thing sounds better.

It is a very underwhelming tire option in my mind and I won't drive it off the dealers lot with them on.

It would be a great tire to put on the base model.

Hey!

Reserved a Big Bend on the 18th, 2 days later watched a YouTube video by Overland Bound on specing an Overland ready rig and I instantly regretted the Big Bend, knew I should've gone with a Black Diamond I just couldn't decide between the 2!!! Glad I'll be able to change at order!

I'm going with Sasquatch for sure but can't decide on mid or not...only reason I'd want it is remote start and heated seats(it gets a little chilly up here in the North East!!) depends on price for the package but hoping I can add them on their own!

Was fully set on Area 51 too but then I saw the real life shots of Cactus and now I'm torn haha

First time buying a brand new car and I'm all over the place with the options ?

Cheers
Ash

Sorry to bust your bubble but can't get a manual with the Squatch package. Main reason I didn't opt for it

New to this site,..
Here's what my build looks like at this point.
Black Diamond, 2.7 with the 10 speed auto. Antimatter Blue. Sasquatch and Mid. packages.
Does the Sasquatch package include the upgraded M210 front axle ? Also, is there any pictures of what the vinyl seats look like ?
After six jeeps, Rubicons and my current Hard Rock It's time to give this Ford a try !!

What is the possibility of a "Non Squatch" Black Diamond being able to selectively apply the brake on a spinning (or "in the air") front tire....as a substitute for having a locker in the front M190 diff?

Maybe one of the G.O.A.T. modes uses factory "traction control" technology to do this automagically?
