My salesman told me they have Maverick on the lot, I decided to stop by, check my Bronco build date again, drive their demo, agaaaain and check the Maverick.
I am impressed by this thing, It surpassed my expectation, let me start by saying this car's interior looks and feels very clean, relaxing and modern, unlike Ford's other boring interior this one was amazing, I didn't test drive the car since this was non-hybrid, and I have no interest but I enjoyed 20 minutes of my time admiring this thing.
Now, base XL will cost you $21500, adding Co-Pilot360 and sunroof will be $22825, that's still cheaper than a base Corolla hybrid LE, My personal XLT build is $25605 if I ever wanted to buy this car, which in today's crazy prices is dirt cheap for a 40mpg truck.

This is obviously not F150, so the interior is decent, not huge but not tiny, I would say interior-wise, it is slightly bigger than a Corolla or about the size of one, especially for the back seats, front seats are bigger, reason, why I am comparing to Corolla, is because my Mom has 2009, honestly, for me it will be perfect, I drive a Miata right now, If you are under 6' with 2 kids under the age of 14 you will be fine.

Now I'll leave you with the pictures, this was XLT with extra packages added MSRP $31780, dealer asking $4767 over MSRP, I have no doubts it will sell.
They sold a Mach E GT while I was there for $20K over, cannot keep Broncos at the lot longer than a day with $20k markup.

It's an incredibly good deal. Basically every small fleet vehicle should be switched to these over the next decade

The XL is the best value if you don't care about cruise control. If you're willing to live without or put in aftermarket cruise, it's a well equipped cheap truck that should be reliable and get great gas mileage. I like it a lot more than the Santa Cruz

I really like the maverick, but don't understand people willing to pay adm on them. By the time you load up and adm a maverick you could've just had a Tacoma.

The appeal of the maverick to me exists in the base hybrid copilot 360 version which you can have for 22. It's a steal at that price. The first edition lariat at 36? Just get a better truck if you have the money for it.

I have one on order (Lariat, FX4 AWD) to hold me over until I get my reserved Bronco.

We will have one in a few years. My girlfriend is absolutely in love with the Maverick. She had an older Ranger years ago and loved it. It's perfect for her daily commute. And will be great for our trips to NC. A hard tonneau will make for a spacious trunk. And it will soothe the blow of losing the bed on my Gladiator.

My build date for my Bronco has been pushed to 11/1, my build date for my Maverick is 11/22. I designed the Maverick build around my girlfriend’s needs as a fly fishing guide out west. Someone who is a single mom living in an apartment in suburbia, yet lives several months guiding very remotely in Colorado and Wyoming. It’s a perfect rig with all its clever storage, utility and some capability. she’s also not very big, small and petite so that bed size will be manageable for her to reach and grab gear etc.. That sizable storage under rear seat will be perfect to store her guide bags, first aid, and hide her expensive camera gear as well..All very well thought out!!
With all of this in mind here’s the build for her:
-XLT w eco boost
-AWD
-XLT lux package
-4K towing package
-360 safety package
-FX4 Offroad package
-sunroof
-manual sliding rear window
-tri fold hard tonneau

No dealer markup thankfully on either.

As a fleet manager a large commercial landscape company, I am interested in smaller more efficient trucks like the Maverick. I pay about $23K ($28K MSRP) for Colorado WT 2wd double cab trucks that get 20 mpg, the Maverick at $22K MSRP and 40 mpg is appealing. Initial feedback from my team is that the bed is just too small for our application. I may push the issue when they are more readily available and buy a test mule.

Exactly the same build we are looking at. On the fence with the FX4 package. Going aftermarket with the hard tonneau. Can get a good one for close to half the price of the Ford one.

XL's value is the best, you can add a couple of options to the car which is something I liked but even my XLT build at $25K is good, not a lot of options at this price range.

People are paying $8k over for Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride, almost every Corolla in San Diego is priced by an additional $4000, that's supply and demand, you can pay $5000 and get a Maverick or pay $7000 and wait 4 months for a Tacoma that costs $10k more than the Maverick.

I have one on order (Lariat, FX4 AWD) to hold me over until I get my reserved Bronco.
That's a nice build, are you keeping it, or will sell after the Bronco arives?

I liked the fact that it's compact, modern interior and I just like the hybrid engine, this is probably about the size of the old ranger.

You picked a nicely loaded Maverick, looks like your girlfriend will put the Maverick into great use, are you guys in a rush and didn't wait for the hybrid? I put gas yesterday and it's becoming painful, $4.55 for 91, it hurts.

Plan on trading it on the Bronco when the Bronco arrives. If used car prices remain high maybe they will give me more then I paid for the Mav. on trade. My dealership doesn't charge ADM on their vehicles so I will be paying MSRP on both the Maverick and the Bronco.

What is it with Ford and the horrid blue and orange interior? Everything from the Maverick to the Raptor has it.

Yes!! Ha ha in a bit of a rush… her old Nissan Rogue keeps stalling at high elevations and needs constant $$$$$ to keep it alive. I get really worried about her when she’s out of cell service in a crappy old car
