I swear some people just want to say they drive a TRUCK because their ego doesn't wanna say car, SUV, wagon or anything else 🙄
I'M SORRY, CAN YOU SAY THIS LOUDER FOR EVERYONE ELSE IN THE THREAD? IT SEEMS TO BE REALLY LOUD IN HERE FROM THE SHATTERING OF THEIR PERCEIVED MASCULINITY AND THEIR "TRUCKS"

But jokes aside... This guy gets it.

A Bronco is a truck. Even if some fancy soy-boy tries to tell you different and offers some long effeminate explanation……ignore them. It’s a truck.
So, deny facts and evidence. Believe what you want. And anyone that disagrees with you, despite their evidence, is a "soy-boy."

Yep. Here's everything wrong with society in one post.

Correct, my 96 has a wagon on its title, also half of my econolines were wagons aswell. Also you know what they called wagons(like horse drawn kind) when they added a motor to em? A truck.

I will clear this all up for you folks:
It is a Bronco = legendary. Therefore is gets special status. Don't downgrade it to "truck" - "car" etc.
The more door is simply a bus. the baby is a baby doesn't deserve Bronco status.

It is simply a Bronco. Nothing else compares.........................................................................................................

In my state, SUVs can be issued truck plates if requested by the owner. Not much benefit to doing that anymore though.

Ahhh....I see you're from San-Fran...so I get it. You can't have the boys down at the juice bar thinking you drive a "truck". That terminology needs to be stomped out here and now!

Back in the 1970s when the world was still normal, we didn't stress out about what we called it and we didn't have internet, so we had nowhere to argue about semantics. I mean, you could go down to the barber shop and argue if you wanted, or shout into the CB radio, but most people had things to do.

Back then we mostly called them 4x4s. Sometimes, you said truck because it was faster.

The Trailduster I pretty much spent my childhood in the back seat of was a D Series pickup with a different body. Broncos, Jeeps and Scouts were a little different because they weren't based on anything else.

We still called them 4x4s or trucks, though. Edit: Except Jeeps. We didn't call them trucks. They were special and so were the people driving them. They spent a lot of the time upside down, so blood flow to the brain and all.

And you kids get off my lawn.

When I went to get my plates at the DMV, they asked me if it was an SUV or Truck and if it was a Truck I had to register a weight class. I had no idea what to answer, just thought SUV would probably be cheaper so I went with that. No clue if that restricts me on anything, but since I can't tow anything heavier than an empty trailer, guess it doesn't matter.

Automobiles with a frame are trucks. Even a Crown Victoria.

Ford Bronco Is it a "Truck"?? obvious-ian-malcolm

Damn. You proved my point faster than I thought you would. Can't teach self-awareness, folks.

(Also, I'm from rural Ohio. And I've driven trucks. The Bronco isn't one.)
