Anything Under Optional Can Be Ordered Separately as a Standalone Option?

Tim Bartz from Long MacArthur Ford is saying that anything under Optional is a stand alone option that can ordered by itself, separately. I've linked at 24 minutes where he starts on the High/Lux Package that specifically mentions it several times. For example on the Outer Banks you can order the 12" Touchscreen separately without the High Package. You can order the B&O 10 Speaker Sound System separately without the High Package.

For a second there I really thought you meant I can get the 12" screen and B&O sound system a la carte on any trim, but alas it's just the Outer Banks and up. Damn, I really want just those two items on my Black Diamond.

I haven't watch all their videos, nor have I watched every minute of the ones I did watch from them, but I recall he specifically station that with the package SOME features are stand alone but others can only be had with the Package. So I don't think ANYTHING can be had separately.

It would be awesome.. but that level of customizing is something that a Manufacturer would not be in the business to do.. not without some sort of large custom order.

I've been thinking the same thing. When you look at the "optional" equipment, I think thats going to be a la carte options. There are definitely things in the HIgh and Mid package, that arent available as options. For instance, there is no optional exterior spotlight and lamps, but they come with the High package. Same goes for the 360 camera. These are on the Wildtrak, by the way.

They have been billing the bronco as a very heavily customizable vehicle to the consumer. Why would they force the consumer to buy a luxury package on their bronco if all they want is the screen. Give it to them a la carte, and charge more for the screen than it would be in the package. Sure they want to sell you more stuff, but they probably realize if you dont get it from ford, you will just go to the aftermarket.

I definitely see the Bronco as a modular system to Ford. The base system has the ability for plug and play options. All Broncos probably share the same base wiring harness, just plug in the 12" screen instead of the 8". Plug in the spotlight mirrors instead of not. So on and so forth.

If my theory is correct, you wont be able to do that. That is not optional equipment on the Wildtrak, or Badlands.

You might not be able to get the package at any point in the future?? I wouldn't be surprised if you could purchase the "optional" equipment a la cart from Ford, directly. For instance, you can buy the latest generation SYNC setup and install the unit(screen and all) into the last generation F150. At one point i looked into buying a 2014, but wanted apple car play.

Here are the Mid, High, and Lux package details. Please correct me if I'm wrong or have excluded anything:

Mid: Ambient footwell lighting, automatically dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone temp control, heated front seats, reverse sensing system

High: Mid package PLUS 12" touchscreen, 360 degree cam, sound deadening roof, forward sensing system, wing mirror LED approach lights and spotlight

Lux: Mid and High package PLUS adaptive cruise control, B&O sound system, garage door opener, 2 extra front row charging ports, voice-activated touch nav system, wireless charging pad

If standalone is, indeed, an option, I'll be adding the 12" touchscreen to the standard Mid package on my 2 door Wildtrak. I do not particularly want to pay for any option included in either the High or Lux packages other than the 12" touchscreen. If standalone is not an option, I suppose I'll be paying to upgrade to the High package.

How hard would it be to buy the 12" screen and install it yourself? I'm assuming the pins and everything else would be similar.
