He is selling them on consignment for the owners, and they would love for you to purchase one.
If they are consignment wouldn't they need to be titled to the first purchaser?
There are many interesting questions about this scenario.

Love our OBX 4dr that I'm thinking of selling my 2dr rubicon and replacing it with a 2 door Big Bend. Now I just have to figure out if I order now or just wait since they might have new options or soft top option for 2 door.

Tom how long do you expect this deal to last. Have to weigh it in on my decision making process.

Bronco news coming out within the next 4 days...so i decided to update the buyback program...

8/11/2021 Buyback update...

4XE/GLADIATOR with 18 month Guaranteed Buyback...

3 easy steps...

1. Pick one of the specs and pick a color...your Wrangler/Gladiator will arrive to me between 6 & 12 weeks for you to pick up...

2. Make monthly lease payments until your Bronco/Maverick arrives...

3. By month 18, bring the Wrangler/Gladiator back to me & swap into your Bronco/Maverick...

Spec 1: Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4XE 29P - INCLUDES PAINTED HARDTOP - $430 x 36

Spec 2: Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4XE 29V - INCLUDES PAINTED FENDERS & HARDTOP - $530 x 36

Spec 3: Gladiator 24W Willys - INCLUDES HARDTOP - $390 x 36

Color Options: Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Gecko, Tuscadero, Sarge Green, Snazzberry, Sting-Gray

Bottom line: come up out of pocket with the 1st payment & tax & tags for your state...make the monthly payment...take care of the vehicle like it's your own...drive under 1k per month...i trade in your lease and payoff it off based on the schedule attached...

Stipulations: Credit restrictions apply...your 1st payment & states tax/tags are due @ signing (I included the PA doc in the cap cost)...wear & use guidelines apply…the lease is 10k per year, but i am allowing 1000 per month for the buyback...Buyback is good for 18 months from date of 1st payment...if you decide to keep the vehicle after 18 months, you are still contractually obligated to the lessor (leasing company)

@DealerInsider ... Tom ... I noticed that the 3% post had a sheet showing all reservation holders in the 1st post. Can you create the same list for the 4% reservation holders?

Subject: Bronco Vehicle Specialist Special Announcement | Bronco Vehicle Reservation Paused

Based on Dealer Council feedback, effective Monday, August 23rd, Ford has paused the creation of new reservations for Bronco vehicles. The decision to pause reservations is due to the high number of Bronco 2 and 4-door model orders and current commodity constraints.

Customers are encouraged to work directly with their dealer who can help with the ordering process, delivery timing expectations, and build specifications. For example, dealers can best guide if a customer may be able to get a stock vehicle that’s already built or scheduled. Due to the high number of orders, delivery of Bronco vehicles placed today will extend through 2022 calendar year.

We will communicate a plan to reopen reservations when available.

DEALER ACTION REQUESTED

Please check to make sure your Dealership tier 3 website and advertising initiatives are no longer promoting Bronco Reservations.

  • Advertising and promotional material should be updated to encourage customers to talk to their Dealer about placing an order

FAQs

  • Why did Ford shut-off reservations for the Bronco™ 2dr/4dr models? Due to the high demand, we’re temporarily pausing reservations for Bronco vehicles. Customers interested in a Bronco vehicle should contact their dealer.
  • Can a customer place an order for a Bronco vehicle if they do not have a reservation? Yes, customers are encouraged to work directly with their dealer who can help with the ordering process, timing and options. For example, a customer may be able to get a vehicle that’s already built or scheduled. Due to the high number of orders, delivery of Bronco vehicle orders placed today will extend through 2022 calendar year.
  • If a customer already has a reservation for a Bronco vehicle but has not converted it to an order yet, can they still place an order? Yes. Dealers can convert existing reservations to orders with customer consent.
  • What Bronco model configurations can be ordered? Customers can order any Bronco model that is available on the Bronco build and price website. Please see the attached recommended builds that will likely be produced quicker based ongoing commodity constraints.
  • I have a customer with an early reservation, how can I ensure they are being prioritized? The scheduling system will continue to pull orders based on customers reservation timestamp. As the systems runs out of buildable orders because of commodities, it will move down the list until it finds an order that is buildable. Scheduling prioritizes retail orders with a timestamp first, retail orders without a timestamp second, and stock orders last.
  • When will Ford reopen reservations for Bronco vehicles? We will provide an update once more information is available.
  • When will dealers be able to place retail orders for the 2022 MY Bronco vehicle? WBDO will open in Q4, more information on timing will be provided soon.

Ford Bronco @dealerinsider offer closed 4CDFFD59-83CD-4E1D-858D-7E141AFD8BF4

Boys I joined the borrow a Jeep from Tom gang this weekend. I'm pretty happy with the 24W Willys Gladiator and the dealership experience at Chapman is basically the smoothest dealer transaction ever, no lie.

Vehicle delivery was easy. Tom's detail guy needs to catch these hands because he swirled the paint some with what I assume was a dirty towel and the service department filled the tires to 43 or so PSI (37 recommended on the door jam) so it rode like dog shit till I stopped and pulled air out to what I estimated was around 37psi cold. The 24W Willys Gladiator changed a little bit, before it had the technology package included but apparently since mid July when I ordered it removed that so it came with a 5" screen and no carplay. Found a used 7" screen to swap in pretty easily until it's time to swap back to Tom for $500. Annoying but not too bad. Looking back I kinda wish I went with one of the 4xe offerings, they are much better optioned for not that much more money.

Looking forward to my Bronco but glad to have something in the meantime.

ugh, yeah so no offense to Tom or his guys but i cant stand when dealers do their delivery "detail". id so much rather take the vehicle dirty, knowing that no one touched it. i do a 2+ day full detail right when i get home, so yeah i feel your pain on this.

ill have to have Tom leave a note in my file to not have any one detail my bronco once he gets it in haha

yeah. Its thankfully minor and I'll get everything out with my Rupes this weekend but still annoying. Figured I'd add it in here so people can reject the swirl install job on their Broncos beforehand

Dayum, that's a good looking Gladiator. If there have been one like that on my dealers lot when I bought my Sahara I could have very well drove off in it......:)

BTW, my Wrangler had 42 psi in every tire. It was all over the road on the way home. From the stories I've seen about this I think it's just that no dealers PDI team check the air pressure from the factories. My wife's Mustang had 38 lbs in every tire, and it rode like a 2 horse wagon until I remedied the problem.

I didn't know Gecko was an option when I ordered, otherwise I'd have done that because I'm highly autistic and love crazy bright colors. But it looks like those aren't getting delivered yet so this works well.

Sold my LX570 on Friday and flew out immediately after to get this so timing was perfect for me.

Myself I think that looks like a Jeep is suppose to look. Sadly that color wasn't available when I bought off the lot. If it had been I would have special ordered one. There were two in dealer inventory that have every option I wanted, a Sting Gray, and one that was the bright Turquoise. It's strange how individual taste are so different. I couldn't even make myself consider the Turguoise one. :)

Did anyone take ownership of ANY car ordered through Tom ?
I could be wrong, and Tom ( @DealerInsider ), correct me if I am, but I believe that Tom was a bit late to the forum party. I remember his initial thread being posted probably a few months after Grangers, Stephens or Leonardtown and because of that if memory serves, initially he was met with some skepticism (presumably because so many dealers have given dealers a bad name with dishonest tactics and a straight shooter like Tom in the dealer space has proven to be hard to come by). That said, because of that it's possible that he's got a bunch of later orders/reservations in the grand scheme of things which might limit the number of Bronco's that people have taken ownership of from Tom as of yet.
