From my understanding, there have been some heated discussions. It sounds like it has to do with the engine in the bronco. It's side loading and snapping lifters. They can't figure it out and blaming the manufacturer that makes the lifters. Again, those same lifters I'm the 2.7 are going into F150s and not having issues. Is what I was told. I was told to not order a bronco right now, from that employee. Personality, I think it's a very miniscule issue. Who knows, maybe he's jealous I have an order and he's just telling me this.

I'm sure this should probably be in another thread.
Well that just doesn't make sense to me. The engines are built at the same plant on the same line. The engine works the same in both vehicle. The engine doesn't know what kind of vehicle they are moving down the road. I wouldn't put much stock in the infromation you were given.

I'm leaning towards it for sure - but mainly to wait on further word on the Warthog/Raptor. Would hate to receive a late 22 to find out that a few more months and I could've gone Raptor.

It does sound odd... but we have this confirmed case here... https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-bronco-shut-down-after-sand-dunes-run.20282/

And this rumour from another part of the country. Where there's smoke there's usually fire.

This is just one case. There is always an outlier with any manufacturer IMHO. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think there is much smoke there with the amount of 2.7L's Ford builds everyday. As my dear old grandmaw used to say, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water". :)

I plan on it. My expedition will be 10 years old in 2023, and I really don't need the Bronco yet. It will be my fun camping vehicle, but the expedition can do that duty too.

I really want to see what the color combinations end up being for the interior of the Bronco in the next year or two. Would like it if OBX could have 33 inch tires as an option. I also haven't driven one yet, so need to do that to determine SAS or just standard Badlands.

It's unlikely that we will be able to use existing reservations for the Bronco Raptor, as it is a Ford Performance vehicle.

Since my reservation and order, my wife's boss now owns a Ford Dealership and I've spoken to my dealer that holds my order and I'm on unofficial lists at both.

As the roll between reveal and production progressed, Ford’s decisions on options slowed my hype. Ford does modern takes on retro/heritage better than most and I was hoping for that. When word came out that painted tops and green colour would be MY22, I was disappointed but willing to wait. Painted tops to MY23?! Don’t know why I expected anything else. I was forced into a newer car so am willing and able to wait until MY23. Just hoping that gorgeous green doesn’t go away…

Awaiting my 2021 4 door to arrive. I will be ordering a 2 door 2023 and then sell the 2021.
I think that's what I'm going to do. Mine is sitting on dirt mountain and I originally wanted the mod top but switched.

Anyone who already pushed their order to MY22 considering pushing it again to ‘23? I’m really considering it, holding out hope that they’ll have new options, etc and fix the major issues we’re hearing about. Just wondering how many people are on the fence like me.
I want my Bronco ASAP...I will also sell it back to Ford ASAP when they come out with an electric version in 23 or 24. I'll be the first person in line placing a reservation on that.

Me too...my two orders were pushed to MY2023 the minute Ford made the Black Modular Top a MY2023 feature.
When I made my reservations on 7/14/2020 the Black Modular Top was a feature that Ford showed/ promoted.
It wasnt long before I discovered I had every late availability sin possible.... I hope but dont truly believe that things will be straightened out by MY2023.
