Anyone considering pushing order to MY23?

Not pushing order again. Since my order is a 2D without a VIN, I'm already pushed to 22. I'm more concerned with options that Ford may remove, not add. For example, making soft top standard and hard top extra, phasing out ICE for electric or stopping 2D production altogether.

We can play the "wait for next year for new options" game endlessly. I'd rather have my Bronco now. Who knows what Ford will do 2 years from now. You may be correct and there will be great new options available. Also, maybe not.

I was a 99d MY22 from the start but everyone dropping down and Ford needing soft top buyers - I switched to priority 19, ordered a soft top, non-squatch, no tow pkg, and a 2.3L and the order got accepted and is likely to be built before the end of December.

Seemed like a silly thing not to do.

Im on the fence of doing exactly that. Should have my 4door by October, but I really wanted the mod top. It may make more sense to sell my 2021 for a 2023 rather than put a new mod top on a 2 year old vehicle with older features.

Ford gives little risk in doing this. if you choose not to take delivery, you're not really penalized. So while I'm uncertain what I'd get for a 2021 in 2 years time, it's worth me trying anyway for the chance that it makes sense financially

why would you do this? just put another order in now. Take delivery when you can...things are so backordered you'll likely be able to sell for nearly what you paid...just upgrade for the immaterial price difference. they aren't going to bump prices up $10k or something crazy.

I have been on MY23 because of MOD top, I have been waning a little lately and reserving my decision until I see the MIC 2.0 on the street. The only thing that is keeping me from staying MY23 is my trust (distrust) that FORD will have a painted MOD top for MY23. I would hate to crumble, order 22 with MIC and then see painted MOD top Broncos running around 6 months later.

I'm holding out till 23. Told my dealer I want the MOD top. But, I may give the go ahead sooner. Either way I'm waiting a year plus.

Also, I've heard rumors of lifters snapping in the 2.7Ls. An employee at one of the manufacturers where I live says Ford is trying to blame them, but the same engines are going in the F150s and not having issues.

Has there been more than one incidence of this? I know one member here reported a seized engine that was diagnosed as a dropped valve... have there been others?

Well I was originally planning to wait until MY23 for the body painted top, but now it’s also in hopes that a darker blue color will make its way back. RIP AMB! You will be missed!

From my understanding, there have been some heated discussions. It sounds like it has to do with the engine in the bronco. It's side loading and snapping lifters. They can't figure it out and blaming the manufacturer that makes the lifters. Again, those same lifters I'm the 2.7 are going into F150s and not having issues. Is what I was told. I was told to not order a bronco right now, from that employee. Personality, I think it's a very miniscule issue. Who knows, maybe he's jealous I have an order and he's just telling me this.

You think it's a minuscule issue that lifters are failing and causing seized engines?
