Got my VIN this morning, hope that it holds for the week of August 30th. I am super pumped, my 8 month wait is almost over.

How did you switch to a soft top if you already had a VIN? I have been told repeatedly that I can't do that.

Sorry for the delay. I called my Dealer at Pearson Ford yesterday and he went in the system and changed it with no problem. He said the date did not change, but neither one of us believed the linked build date changes real time. He said he'll check it here and there to see if it changes.

Interesting thing is when I go to Ford.com and look at my build, it's now a soft top. Also, when I go to my VIN email and click to see my order, my Bronco pic is now topless where before it was a hardtop.

I'm as interested as anyone to see if it changes my date (expected) or gets built in two weeks.

Thanks for posting. I convinced my dealer to change my color a few weeks ago, and they said it couldn't be done. I had to convince them it could, and sure enough it did work, but I thought that was all that could be changed once a VIN was assigned. I've reached out to my dealer today to see if they'll try. I'll keep the group posted.

This is what my dealer said:

"That is correct, I can't change it to soft top now. I just spoke to my Ford Rep and confirmed that. She did say that if scheduled for September, it should be built then and they'll hold it for a new top-but that it shouldn't roll into 2022 before you receive it."

Dealer preview showed that my 8/30 build week Bronco was currently scheduled to be built Friday, 9/3. Should I be concerned about build quality on a vehicle built on a Friday before a holiday weekend or is that an urban legend?

I literally came here to ask the same question. I trust the folks at MAP but hell I get in a hurry to get out the door on a holiday weekend.

when do production emails go out? Week of? Or is there anything to update next week? Not sure when to expect the next update.

When the 8/12 emails originally went, did the Ford.com tracker say "scheduled for production" or "Order Confirmed"? Mine currently says 'Order Confirmed' but I can't recall if it's always been like that or if something has changed. The VIN is still listed on the page.
