Can I ask a basic question and maybe just get a basic yes/no if that's even possible? I have a BL, Sas, 2.7, 4 door WITH a MIC top, WITH a VIN and WITH a production week of 8/30 (moved from 8/23 last week and it's the 3rd time it's been moved). Am I getting a '21 MIC and is it going to be produced the week of 8/30 based on language in this announcement and if NOT, when will it be produced (using Ford's language, not all of our smart ass sarcasm). OR does it make sense to switch to soft top and follow up to that is: Can I even switch to soft top given that I already have VIN and schedule date?
yes you will get a 21 once the re-designed tops start to flow in a couple months.

Yes, I still worry about this being what the CIA calls a "limited hangout", like all of Ford's previous customer communications. Ross says the timeline is optimistic. Why is Ford still trying to paint a rosy picture here? Give it to us straight, then if things get better, they get credit for overdelivering.

Remember when we were all supposed to get build estimates in May?

The steady trickle of increasingly bad news is like watching the rain seep through your MIC top. It's bad as it is, but you're especially frightened of it getting even worse down the line.
Ford is trying to keep it's head above water throwing stuff (points, perks, price locks) at the early reservationist albatross around it's neck. The rest of their customers are even more shafted in terms of getting a Bronco and with possible cost increases. If Ford thinks I'm buying some 2023 Bronco at an inflated price based on their earlier March whatever cutoff scheme, forget it. Will see how it all plays out ...

Since I'm an early reservation holder and have not received a build date, I think I'm simply better off holding out for a 2023 Warthog. I just may push my 22 reservation to 23. Let's just hope Ford takes care of the early 21 reservation holders. Putting them first in line for a 23 Warthog would be pretty damn nice.
Price protection is for a “comparable build” so be careful making any changes.

How can't you believe it? Did you expect Ford to send a rep to his dealership to be waiting this morning in the even that he didn't read the communicatin they sent him? He said himeslf he hadn't checked his email....
Yes.... they should of sent Mike Levine there to personally let him know>>>> :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

How do you change your order to a softtop? Go back to the dealership?

Ford has been building vehicles for over a 100 years. They drop the ball! Fire them all!
I hate it when people say this because it's total BS. Yes they have been making cars for 100 years, but what it takes to build a car today is not the same as a car 100 years ago. What it takes to build a car now is not what it took to build a car 10 years ago.

Manufacturers are forced with every new model to push the envelope further and further. If they don't, they go under. Look what happened to Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, and Mercury. All marquee brands in their heydays. Each stopped innovating and started pumping out the same tired designs year after year. Now they've gone the way of the Dodo. Same thing is happening right now with Dodge/Chrysler.

Everyone complains when a new Apple product launch doesn't go well, but they still line up to buy an iPhone because they push the envelope. When was the last time you bought a Gateway Computer?

Have new tops been put on any Broncos already built? The correspondence from Ford says Broncos affected were built from January 28, 2021 through July 21, 2021.

My blend date was July 23 and I've been "in production" since then. Did I get lucky and miss the affected window?

This would be more acceptable / tolerable if Ford would just lock in a price for us for a MIC hardtop. I would be happy with driving around a soft top for a couple of years if I knew the MIC top would cost me say $1000 in 2023. The part that worries me is that the dealers love to make a dollar on parts so it would not surprise me that a top could be $5000 or more.
All Ford has to do is lock in a price and we can all make an informed decision. But this no price bull S#!T scares me.

Well, Ford could at least take care of the 21 reservation holders by going the extra mile with the Warthog. Either way, I'm locked into any Bronco at invoice...my good friend owns a Ford dealership. I'd be happy simply to be in front of the line in getting one since I reserved in 21. He'll take care of me on the pricing.

Don't know what I am feeling right now.....my 2 door Badlands was supposed to be blended into the line today. Guess I am stuck in purgatory. Glad we have a path forward, just wish it would have (and should have) been delivered sooner.

Ford should have done this MONTHS ago. I was fully expecting to not get my Bronco until early next year and now I can 100% make plans around that.

In a way I'm kind of actually glad as I thought trying to find a factory roof rack after purchase would be a bitch and I'm hoping that carpet on the backseats of BD is replaced with plastic or something for 2022. Also depending on any new colors that get added I might change my orders trim level.

At the end of the day I'm not really bitter and it'll get here when it gets here.

Ford ignoring the MIC water leak issue worries me. I bet they will deny the warranty claim if I let the snow and ice sit on the MIC Top for a week and it leaks and damages the interior.
"Ford Motor Company USA has determined you took your 2021 Bronco through a touchless carwash. Your warranty claim is thus denied."
