A loaded Maverick while I wait for my Bronco

Ordered a hybrid one back in June to swap with my 2013 F150 FX4. Always was going to keep my truck as a DD, but Ford surprised me with a truck and 40mpg. With OBX SAS on the way I don’t need 2 vehicles that get 16/17mpg.

Maverick and truck don’t belong in the same sentence. Unibody ain’t a truck. Car with a bed is a better description.

The long wait and sketchy customer reviews so far, have me working on 2nd options.
So today I built and ordered a Maverick. Definitely not a substitute for the Bronco. And a completely different vehicle.
I was excited to see that I could build a loaded maverick for much less than a base + sas bronco.

Who knows which one will get here first.

It's working, FORD's plan is to have you purchase multiple vehicles while waiting for the Mystical Bronco. Actually looks nice, I might have to check one out myself. lol

Some of the trim/option combo oddities are as bad as Bronco. I like the idea of the Maverick but I can't find a build I like.

BTW, I learned yesterday that this is not the first time Maverick was a "truck".

Which is great for power to weight ration. Turbo and AWD are going to be a great combo with that light body.

I've got an XL Hybrid in Area 51 ordered. By the time I get my OB since I just reserved last month, I'll be ready to trade the Mav in for another fuel conscious alternative.

Yeah man. Sometimes it’s good to have a backup plan. It may not be the right vehicle. But it looks like it’s gonna be the right now vehicle

I was building my maverick fully loaded everything you could possibly throw at it except for the smokers package! And you don’t have to have that 360 BS!!!
It was 35 something !
If the dealer plays games with me at the end when I get my bronco I’m just gonna tell them to go F themselves and get the maverick from granger!

Agreed. Seemed like a no brainer. It’s crazy how much you can equip these things and still not break the bank. About 10K less than my Bronco.
You should definitely order one. Ford didn’t charge me a fee for my reservation. And the dealership didn’t even ask for a deposit. I literally have ZERO invested in it. So I’m still keeping both options open. I still want my Bronco. But there’s too much bullshit going on for me to be 100% comfortable with the purchase. That’s not saying the Maverick roll out will be any better. But it looks like a safe bet that the Maverick is gonna be 1st.
