Hello all,

Id like to introduce myself to the community here. I come from the tuning and imports side of the car world. Previous car I owned was my baby, a 2018 Civic Si Coupe. Fully built for Track. Definitely learned the inside and out of that car working on it.
Worked alongside my tuner to bring the power up from 190Whp to 310whp on stock internals and supporting mods. Out of a little 1.5L.
Definitely pleased with Honda’s reliability. Unfortunately I knew the ending was coming when my wife and I started planning for our first kid.
Now a few Months later after selling the car and our baby born I am in the market for a car. Definitely still had the itch for a performance sedan or similar, but after thinking hard and debating between an 21’ Amg Cla45 , 21’ Acura Type S, wife and I agreed on a Bronco. Life is too short so why not try new things?? and if I can include my daughter and wife and share smiles with them then nothing else beats that. Wife and I love the outdoors so we are excited to go on trips with our daughter, excited to teach her how to surf, go on some hiking trails in Yosemite, go to the beach. Etc. Also wife said since I got rid of my car I get to choose every spec of the Bronco as long as it’s the full size Bronco šŸ˜… can’t complain there. Now in the search for a 2.7 L Badlands , researched a lot and I think that’s our best fit.
Definitely feels weird being new to a new community especially being a senior member on the previous forums I was in but I’m excited to learn everything I can , just like transferring to a new school back in the day šŸ˜‚. I’ll be active in the forums with bunch of questions hopefully make new friends and connections along the way. Like I mentioned I’m new to everything off roading so any help tips and tricks are welcomed.
sorry for the long intro! Until the next post! Here are some pics of the previous car…

Welcome to B6G! Looks like a sweet ride that you put your heart into before. Hopefully the Bronco can be the next one.

I'm new to this offroad thing as well, so I'm subscribing for info too.

Great intro, glad to have you here and a part of the 6G family.
Mr. Joe above had the best, easiest "new guy" advice to start with.
Get into a local group or make friends with others who do some off-roading, learn by watching how to tackle stuff, how to avoid stuff, and most importantly-knowing both the capabilities of your rig and yourself.
Both are upgradeable with time and experience.
Being an outdoorsman, you are already a leg up in knowing some of the potential dangers nature can throw your way.
The rest is just learning and being a sponge for good info.

Welcome. I would definitely go to one of the Off-Roadeo's near you. You get first hand off-roading experience in a group with trained instructors. You'll leave with with a ton of knowledge to make you more comfortable on the trail.

Welcome. Where in CA are you located?
My best advice is to hookup with like minded folks. Join a local club would be best. Don't wheel alone.
This is great advice.

Nice, I was born in Mountain View. Welcome! @MrJoe nailed it, as have others. Stay on trails, pick up trash etc.

I don't think you're going to find too many mountains West of the bay area.....

I Got a 4 door Jeep back in 2007 because I had two kids, Girls, The Kids loved that after Church we would go hit some of the dirt trails around the FT Bragg area. The Kids in the back seat giggling their asses off is priceless. The trails were not extreme just enough dirt sand and bumps to make it fun. It will be worth it just for that.

That’s what I’m shooting for! Can’t wait to see my little girl smile, I know if I would’ve gone with a performance sedan it would’ve been more for my experience.

Thanks! Yea man! I’ll be glad to share any new info I learn throughout my experience, just like when I got my first car, I didn’t know squat about tuning or working mechanically but with time I became more comfortable to the point where I swapped out my clutch. Im expecting to learn quick hopefully , I’ll be fully invested as well to know the ins and out of the Bronco, excited to share my build in a few years. Just gotta find one šŸ˜“ definitely regret not putting in an order.

If you call all your local dealerships, you may end up getting one of the "cancelled order" ones before us reservation holders do.
