Hard to judge without knowing what the cause is. If they are retooling the assembly line to fix known issues (grille whistling, panel improvements) maybe that’s not such a bad thing?

My optimistic guess, is this. There's still problems with MIC tops but they found somethingin the process that can make them better, they are trying to figure out how to crank out FE and 2 doors while also sifting through reservations to find low option soft top builds that they can build before they have to start building stock units and pissing off reservation holders

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Why do I check the status here, over and over again, hoping things will change….maybe I am insane to think they will get it together and I will actually have a MY2021 bronco, even if I was a day one (10:43pm) reservation. Ugh….

I think it is more the bad press and user experience on the MIC and some on the soft top too have scared the shit out of them, so no produced units are getting shipped, and almost all tops are being rejected. So they can’t figure out what mix to schedule.

Worse, there is no viable volume MIC top fix in the near future (like the rest of 21 and into 22).

Good grief people you can always buy a vehicle off the lot like 99% of other vehicles. If you want to make a reservation for the latest and greatest and widely popular model that isn't in production be prepared to wait. I knew damn well it would probably be 2022 when I made my reservation last July.

I call BS on this. Back in July 2020 there were no commodity issues, no dealer allocation, and deliveries were going to start in Dec 2020.

I paid $2000 over at Capitol Ford in San Jose, CA. Then i got to enjoy a drive home to MT. I made a fun trip out of it. That $2000 was well worth it!

As far as I have been told if you're scheduled with a VIN yours will be built. This is for new scheduling. They only Issue VINs if they have the parts to build yours completely.

Based on the experience of a bunch of forum members its more accurate to say:

"They only Issue VINs if they THINK they have the parts to build yours completely."
