Because there is a HUGE market for v8 sports cars. There isn’t a huge market for v8 anything else. Even now. Less than 30,000 v8 mustangs were sold last year.

I had a 5.0 f-150 and currently one with a 3.5 ecoboost. I’ll take the ecoboost in a truck anyday, but i do enjoy the 5.0 in my mustang (it loves to rev).

I seriously doubt they will ever V8 the Bronco, if they do, it will be after they v8 the Raptor and no one on the Raptor side is holding their breath for that. Dont get me wrong, most want one in teh Gen 2 or Gen 3....

As far as ford doing it though, these are designed with off road suspensions that are leaps and bounds ahead in capability of what was done 25 years ago. larger motors, more weight, what is teh impact to the front suspension off roading? Weight might not be much of a factor or it might.

What I think would happen, if anything, before the 5.0 is the HO3.5 TT. and that you can tune to over 600WHP.

Not nearly as well. Half the articulation rating. 60% the suspension travel. Heavier longer wheelbase. All those add up pretty quick to help rating.

I’ve also heard that the removable top is the reason why the lower toe rating. Due to some stupid NHTSA rule about convertibles

I’d be down for a solid roof(with moon) option to increase towing.

I don't undestand why manuals are so hard to engineer. They are very simple mechanical machines....compared to AUTOs.

This was a clean slate and designed a (weak) manual.

The rear seat fold down thing... What we all seen of the 2 door rear end is a pre production unit. And the seat bottom support is clearly different on this compared to the hacked interior images. I don't think Ford would f*ck up something like this.

Personally I think that the molded in color gray hard top looks fine - it blends in with the bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and fender flares. After all this is a rugged SUV - and it adds to that look. Otherwise pony up for the painted modular top. My only question is whether this gray hard top also provides better interior insulation (from road noise, hot/cold) than is provided by the modular top? Any photos of the interior lining of this gray hard top that may answer that?
