You all are too kind. I enjoy being a part of this community and hopefully the bits of info I'm able to get ahold of help those of you waiting understand what's going on.

Tomorrow morning a buddy and I are popping the top and carving an all-back roads route from here to Lake Erie for a day at Cedar Point (America's Rock & Roller Coast) so I expect to have some good pics and impressions later this week.

Thanks Ross, I sure hope you stick around to provide those periodic tiny lights of hope I've seen. I may never get my 2 dr. Badlands w/ MIC top and tow package, but at least you gave us warnings and info to chew on throughout this debacle. I'm gonna at least stick it out until Ford's next BS announcement, out of morbid curiosity :cautious:

Thanks for all the info. Would be interesting to get your opinion on hardtop removal, and also how the hardtop mates with the body. The wide hardtop flange makes it difficult to visualize how the two are mating up.

The slight warping of the flange you mentioned (the longest section between two bolts on each side), is something I saw as well when viewing at a dealership. Although it didn't seem enough to cause a sealing issue.
