So Ford is basically obliterating dealer allocations, right?

“Getting pushed to MY22” doesn’t mean what a lot of people act like it means. It’s not like all of a sudden you’re waiting another 52 weeks for your bronco.

“Getting pushed to MY22” could mean something as simple as instead of being built in the last week of Nov, your bronco gets built in the second week of December… it could even arrive on the same transport either way.

The only way that getting pushed to MY22 means worse is if you’re an otherwise late build and a whole bunch of early 99s get inserted before you at the MY22 change over…

But really, even if there weren’t a MY change over and all those 99s were in the running already, you’d be the in the exact same position.

…and from what I’m hearing the significant majority of 99s that were holding out for Mod tops right now are converting back to MIC tops… so they’re back in the running…

…and if they can’t build your bronco because of parts, it doesn’t matter whether they build a stock order or a retail order instead…

So my original point stands. You’re going to get your Bronco at the same time you were always going to, whether you get “pushed” to MY22 or not, and whether it was by an earlier reservation holder, a retail order that can be built, or a stock order that can be built.

The only thing that has changed through all of this is we’re seeing more and more how the sausage is being made.
You make no sense. “Getting pushed to MY22” means exactly what we think it means. It means we’re not getting the 2021 Bronco we reserved and ordered. It means we’re not getting the Bronco we ordered this year no matter how you spin it. Could mean this, or it could mean that (really?, you don’t know do you?), but in reality it means we’re not getting a 2021 Bronco this year, period.

My point was there seems to be a number of people here that are okay with receiving a “MY21”, but for whom getting “pushed to MY22” is unacceptable.

My point was merely that production runs straight through save for a week or two shut down… practically speaking for the individual, the difference between receiving their bronco in MY21 vs “getting pushed to MY22” could be a fraction of actual time compared to receiving an early MY21 vs a late MY21. We are already even anticipating that during the transition, MY21 and 22 Broncos will be delivered to dealers and customers along side one another.

If the metric you are instead using is only what is printed on your window sticker, then you are 100% accurate, there is no comparing a MY22 when what you wanted was a “MY21.”

Or, if your point is that you’re upset that you were 1 of 200,000 reservations, and you might not receive one of the 60,000 Broncos they can produce in the first 6 months… that’s a different issue altogether.

My point is what I posted. You do not have all the answers. I have a 7/14/2020 reservation time stamp. I will get what I ordered (exactly to my specifications) when I get it.

You did not order a “2021 Bronco”. You ordered a Bronco, and shortly after the reservation window opened, it became pretty obvious that Ford would not be able to build all retail orders in 2021.

Actually we all ordered a 2021MY Bronco, it was in the reservation, it is in every scrap of paperwork generated by Ford and dealers. Hell, it's still on the reservation website. While many assumed some would have to give up the 2021MY order and put in a new order for a 2022MY (maybe a 2023 in some cases), it would be a different order completely. The speculation on getting or not getting a 2021MY is completely unrelated to the order.

Obviously you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I reserved and ordered a 2021 Ford Bronco. The DORA I signed indicates Model Year 2021.

Well, I hope you’re a lawyer, because you knew back in January that you were outside of your dealer’s allocation.

Should be an interesting ride, indeed. Let me know how your legal case holds up in court.

Razorbak86:
You’re clueless. What litigation are you talking about? As for dealer allocations, that has been a fluid situation. Like most folks on this forum I have communicated with my dealer several times since January and am now well within his dealer allocation. Actually within the top 50%, but that can again drastically change in the next two weeks with the latest news from Ford. So, it has been an interesting ride Indeed.

But the fact of the matter is I do in fact have a reservation and order for a MY21 Ford Bronco (wether I get it or not is a different matter); and, you still don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. Quit while you’re ahead.

If they missed the take rate on certain options, which probably was the case, this is the result.
From all reports, the two things Ford missed on the take rate was 2-Doors and Stick shifts. I'm really surprised they haven't announced the 7MT as a constraint actually.
