THE PUBLIC VERSION IS FORD IS SWIMMING WITH BRONCO ORDERS BUT THE CONTINUED DELAYS IN DELIVERING ACTUAL VEHICLES TO REAL CUSTOMERS WILL EVENTUALLY CATCH UP TO THEM. THOSE THAT HAVE OPTIONS WILL SIMPLY CANCEL AND TAKE THEIR BUSINESS ELSWHERE
Why are you yelling at us, try yelling at Ford.

Next time, try this please.

You already compromised by going to soft top the other day, at least I think I remember you saying that. Maybe next your dealer will suggest a Prius or something.
Stay in the family...EcoSport or bust!

Switched to soft top. If if I don't get a VIN this week, I give up. (Not really, but maybe.)
I’m with you. I know I’m being impatient but I’ve decided to give it the month of July to get a build date or some concrete update before I think about moving on

Yeah, I did compromise. Came to realize I didn’t need all of that extra stuff that not only delays my order but also cost more money. Definitely don’t need 35’s on a Badlands and what will be a daily driver.

The Ford rep told my dealership contact that if I stuck with my two door order I wouldn’t see mine until 2022. I’m a first day reservation and #10 out of 60 orders. He also recommended removing the Sasquatch and tow package due to them being high constraints and having a good chance of also delaying my order.
And yet, probably 2/3 of builds have Sasquatch pkg, about 1/2 have tow pkg, 3/4 have 2.7, and probably 1/2 have Lux pkg. It appears MiC top is the biggest issue and thus the lowest common denominator, so that’s creating the biggest bottleneck and relieving a lot of the stress on remaining constrained items.

You’ve already compromised from 2dr to 4dr in order to allow you to change from MIC top to soft top. How many more changes is one expected to make before you don’t even recognize the Bronco that you want?

I removed the towing pkg based on input from Ford and Bronco Rep., and two months later, I’m still waiting on a build date and I have a day one first 10 minute reservation and #1 allocation.

I have decided I’m not changing anything else based on what Ford and dealer reps tell me. I’ve seen enough 2dr, Sas, Lux, MIC Top, 2.7L builds being publicized on this site to not believe everything I’m being told.

So I have come to terms with the fact that COVID and my own insistence on buying the Bronco that I want, and not the one Ford wants to sell me are to blame for me still being in que despite my early reservation. I’m comfortable with that. I’m not going to make it that easy for them simply because they want to minimize their 2021 Bronco damage control and sell 60k vehicles that don’t come close to the ones they’ve been hawking for the past year.

Because I’m a Ford guy I wish them luck in selling all the floppy top, tiny-tired, tech and luxury free, 4 banger Broncos they can sell. But they won’t be selling one to me.

Just hope you never plan on carrying anything valuable
Nope. I’m not that stupid. I don’t even do that currently with my truck. If somebody wants to break in they’re gonna do it soft top or not.

Like I said, everything I removed is stuff I don’t need or can get in the future without having it as part of the loan. The lack of space in the two door was starting to become a concern of mine also so I switched to the four door.

So my local dealer had some reservation cancellations so I've moved to a MY21 year build, he seems pretty confident we can get my build in this year so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm not in any rush still but would sure love a bit more power for road tripping especially with things starting to open back up. Here's to hoping the Bronco is like the Focus ST and the best years were the first years!
