I received a call at 730PM from a sale associate who did not leave his name but wanted to “talk to me”. I immediately called back, was put on hold for five minutes, only to have the guy sound flustered. Our conversation:

Sales Associate: ”So, you reserved a Bronco.”
Me: “Yes.”
SA: ”Did you want two or four door?”
Me: ”Two.”
SA: “Do you know which trim? You know there are seven different trim lines.”
Me: “Outer Banks.”
SA: ”Do you know which color?”
Me: “I’ve narrowed it down to two. When do I need to make my decision by?”
SA: “Seems like you know more than I do about it. Well, I’ll keep you informed as information comes in from Ford.”

Yeah....soo......

This was what I was afraid of... I get it Ford can't be on top of all of their dealers but cmon! This is a huge launch for them and we as the consumers have to deal with miscommunication or lack of trainings on the ground level... please keep us posted if they reach back out and hopefully have info to share. ?‍♂

Dealer reached out to me this morning informing me that my next steps are to go to the dealer website and pay another $100 deposit.

After telling the salesman i'll just go through another dealer, he instantly told me that wasn't necessary as he just found my reservation. Makes no sense how that could be anything but a scam attempt. I have dealt with them in the past without issue but i'm considering creating another reservation at a separate dealership just to be safe.
?‍♂ yikes, yeah that might be a safe bet. Thank you for posting, good heads up for all of us to make sure we save our confirmations because they might pull fast ones on us...

UPDATE: Dealer got back to me and said they will be reaching out once the allocations open up so I can finalize my order.

I will post here if any other communications come through!

I only had the Client Care person reach out from my first reservation... i.e. useless. Haven’t asked about their pricing yet. My 2nd reservation is with Granger, and their internet salesperson was very responsive.

Got an email, text, and then a congratulations call from Park Cities Ford here in Dallas, whom I selected, but have not had any dealings with. This will be my first Ford. David Jaffe was very polite and happy to talk to me about the Bronco, he wanted to confirm what I had selected - 4 door, WildTrak. he gave me his cell number, and said to reach out if I had any questions, and he'd be with me all the way.

I was a little dismayed that the WIldTrak won't be available with the manual, but he said they didn't know for sure, however it shouldn't be a problem to change things if I want a different trim to allow for the manual transmission. We didn't really get into pricing, but I did mention X-Plan and he had no issue, so I hope that means no ADM!

I confirmed with my dealer Banner Ford in Mandeville, LA. No ADMs and we have two First Editions with them. I took delivery of my Ford GT through them in March, so they are pretty easy to deal with. They also said anyone disgruntled with a dealer charging ADM would get the same no fee guarantee.

I got (2) emails from Koch 33 Ford in Easton, Pa. (both generic crap) and mind you I have bought from them in past (maybe 5 years ago).
1st email from "Online Advisor" Congrats on reserving your Bronco, we'll reach out when orders open up.
2nd email from "General Manager" basically just talking about their dealership.. standard auto-reply stuff.
No calls, no texts... nothing. Yet you would think that dealers across the country would be as excited as us. That they'd really like to say "Hey it's all new to us too, but we're researching everything we can" "We'd like to reach out to you in a couple weeks when we have more info".
You know? Just something from a dealer showing some sort of excitement. Not just be like, ok, when orders up, come give us your money.

Maybe it's cuz I only reserved a Big Bend.. maybe not enough bank in that. smh

Yeah, I feel the same way. They've been fed info on this for what seems like years now. You'd think they'd know at least as much as us. But I got a form email and that's it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I spoke to the new Bronco specialist at my local dealership yesterday afternoon after placing my reservation Monday night. He didn't have any information at all and said he'd be attending a training seminar within the week to learn more. Seems like this is new for all of them. I've followed Tacoma launches and the Gladiator launch. There's definitely some red flags here with how this is initially being handled.

I've followed a lot of launches. Dealers are almost universally clueless.

Hey Everyone!

Longtime lurker and finally joined the ranks after putting down my reservation??. Wanted to create a thread for us to track and hopefully show what dealers have been communicating us on our orders. Feel free to screenshot or summarize what you've received. I've seen a number of threads where people are receiving different emails (some inviting them in for swag, others getting automated emails- like myself, others got invited in for a test drive etc.)

Admin if this is already created feel free to delete or merge! I'm curious to see how Ford Dealers are handling this and what they're saying to us.

So far I've received 2 automated emails saying they received my "inquiry" and 1 email from their Sales Manager with links to view their inventory (which looks like another automated email)...

What have y'all gotten? Also, feel free to drop the dealer you chose below*

My selected dealer- Ford Galpin in Van Nuys, CA

EDIT- Just received an email (not automated) with the subject Bronco Reservation and one of the sales coordinators confirming they've recieved my reservation but wanted to know which Bronco I was reserving and what trim... I've replied and I'll let you know their response/any other info they provide*

This, I expected the dealers to know no more than what Ford announced. It's just the way industry works. Go into an Apple Store now and they can't tell you anything about the iPhone 12 with absolute certainty. Now that Ford has announced the Bronco, they will brief their dealers.

Bluebonnet Ford in New Braunfels, TX.

I had submitted a request for info on their Bronco website before the reveal. On Monday afternoon, a Bluebonnet Jeep salesman called me. I told him I had asked about Bronco and he said he reach out to the Ford dealer to have someone contact me. I put in my reservation Monday night, then got a generic email and phone message from a salesman who didn't know anything about my reservation and just wanted to set me upbwith a test drive with anything I liked. I sent an email response staring I had reserved a Bronco and wanted to know about pricing. I haven't gotten a response yet.
