The interior? Really?

I keep thinking about those videos posted where guys over 6' were talking about how roomy it is. They must be paid Ford employees.
not a Ford employee

6’2”, 280

as comfortable and more legroom than my current Honda Pilot.

I’d be curious to see what correlations exist between someone’s impression of the bronco’s size and that person’s daily driver.

When people who normally drive pickup trucks get in my Wrangler for the first time they’re always surprised at how small it is.
The recent thread with detailed horizontal measurements shows the Bronco’s interior is just slightly larger than my daily driver, a 2012 Camry SEV6. Works for me. A few inches narrower than my F250 and my wife’s Sequoia.

Maybe I didn't move the seats back all the way. :D

But in seriousness, when I was referring to that, I was mostly thinking about the back seats, not the front.

I agree small inside. But I felt a little larger than wrangler. Front seats were extremely comfortable. For all the money we are paying you think the back seat could be better. With all the rear space WHY COULDN'T THE BACK SEATS SLIDE BACK FARTHER? What am I missing? What wouldn't allow this? Presently driving Highlander with 3rd row for 3rd kid to sit in for vacations. Like I tell my son.: "who cares about the back seat it's not like I'm going to be sitting back there!" Do you still want me to buy it knowing your back there when moms in the car. Not a hard sell.

This is one of the big reasons why I still have not ordered. I refuse to buy a vehicle that I don't know without a doubt that I can comfortably fit in.

I have yet been able to get into one, however...

I sure as heck hope it feels a bit on the small size. My favorite vehicle I have ever "had" was the 1984 Ford bronco II that was my first rig. I'm a 2 door manual order all the way. It's a bit of a memory lane thing for me. Hoping it will have a similar feel that my bronco II had. I was honestly disappointed a bit with all the "it's huge" comments. Now, if they only had a "copper" paint color choice I would be even more excited.

I was so pissed at my old man when I came home from college one day and went out to take my bronco to my buddy's house for the evening only to find out my dad had sold it that week.

Goldilocks here. I thought the space was juuuuuuust right. If I had one wish though...

I have read that the reason the rear seats don't recline much(sat in 4 DR Tuesday) is because the doors wouldn't fit back there behind them if they reclined any further. Couldn't Ford let US decide when and how much the seats reclined? We can figure out that we gotta put them back upright if we want to stick the doors back there. How much complexity in the hinge mechanism would it take to allow the rear seats to lay back into a more reclined postion. As a family of 5 that likes long road trips, this one modification wouldn't change anything dimensionally on the vehicle, and would do wonders for increasing back seat passenger comfort without asking Ford to basically redesign the platform. It really has me wanting (hypothetically, in my imaginary Bronco) to look at that mechanism myself. But then again, I know, safety n stuff. Ok I'm done.

I know, click bait. :)

Took my wife to the Tacoma event today. I knew what to expect from Cactus Gray as I've seen it on the Bronco Sport. I knew what to expect from tire sizes since I've seen 32s (compared to 35s) on Jeeps and other vehicles. I knew what to expect from other aspects of the vehicle from all the pictures, videos and descriptions on B6G.

But what really surprised me was the overall feel of the size of a Bronco. It feels small! And we only got see the 4-door versions! With all the talk about MPGs, I thought we were going to be viewing a bigger rig. I'm 5' 10" and skinny. My wife even smaller. Both of us thought the interior felt a little tight. Certainly not enough to turn me off of buying one, but it was a bit shocking. We both agreed we wouldn't want to do a road trip in the back seats. She said to me that the Bronco looked pretty big on the outside, but on the inside actually felt smaller than her Mazda CX-5 that we drove to the event in. I agreed.

I'm surprised this hasn't been a bigger issue here on B6G. We saw other people getting in the Broncos who were larger than us, and they looked a little crammed in there. I'm hoping Ford will do as other manufacturers have done and grow the vehicle over time. It could stand to be a little bigger.

Other than that, I loved the Bronco. And I am now seriously in love with the black steelies and the Grabbers. Fabulous look! The damn high package is a problem. If I could get the high package on the Black Diamond, I would do that trim in a second.

Hmmmm interesting comments on the interior. I just attended the viewing event today held in Milwaukee and sat in both the 4DR Badlands and a 4DR First Edition. I’m a husky 5’ 10” and I was very comfortable in the front and back of both vehicles. I was afraid it was going to be snug from the comments I’ve and I was very comfortable. Those rigs were both beautiful.

I also spoke to one of the reps there about the color on the MIC top. He told me that the production MIC tops he saw where as dark or maybe a shade darker than the color on B pillar which I thought where fairly dark. I was very happy about that because I really don’t want as light a grey top as some of the pictures I’ve seen.

I am surprised people are surprised. Body on frame vs. unibody and solid rear axle vs. IRS costs space. Removable roof and doors and current crash standards=high $ materials and or space. I am amazed it is as big as it is and not surprised at how much it weighs. Solid roof, unibody IRS could have 15-20% more space and similar weight reduction. Everything is a compromise. I spend time in a Ranger and it meets my requirements. Bronco is similar, good to go for me. Your experience will vary (I am 6’ 225, wife 5’8” and weight unknown, but whatever it is, I like it).

Just a little thing called the rear axel, shock mounts and tires. That is why.the step up in the rear floor and cargo deck, seats don't slide over steps.

I had two Bronco IIs, similar interior dimensions, larger exterior. Price you pay for modern crash standards and removable roof. Driving dynamics off the charts better.
