Dude, I have never ever watched a YouTube video where the host hi jacks the watchers attention for a plug
This must be the first time you have ever watched something on YouTube in the last couple years. This is incredibly common among most high sub count channels.

With any make or break, it's always the little details. Not an off-road guy but considering the time between announcement and actual unveil, you would have thought someone familiar with crawling would have noticed the shock mounts, rock rails and front camera. All minor if you consider the whole design and engineering undertaking to bring a new vehicle to market. Points are valid and seem could be an easy fix on later models.

Good review, BTW.

Well, they had to get creative and start popping the sponsor somewhere in the middle because back when they all used to do it at the beginning, everyone would just skip the first 30sec. It is annoying though.

In agreement with you except for the removable hardtop. I suspect several of your items will be fixed by 2023 or even mid model 2022. I think we all share your #1.

I think my only main gripe is the rear ac vents...but I won't be back there, so....and while it's not really a gripe with me, I would also buy a fixed roof version if available...after 3 wranglers with top off-doors off in the Pennsylvania humidity, it felt like driving while someone was pointing a blowdryer on me... eventually I admitted to myself I was just doing it for the poser "look at me" aspect. Now if I ever manage to convince my gf to move west I might feel differently about that...but I've pretty much always had zero interest in convertibles.

Man this thread is moving fast. Nice video.

Few points. First, I can see how some would want a trim with a fixed roof. That's cool. For me though, that was one of the must haves so I'm glad they didn't listen.

Two. I listen to the radio all the time. 91.5 and 101.9.

Three. Air vents. Again, I can see your point but for me, a total non-issue. I do not plan on having people in the back much at all and if I do, the roof will be off.

I can see your points and understand but for me, Ford's design will fit my wants much better and I don't think I'm alone. I think looking at the market and the opportunities available, I think Ford made the right choice.

Don't like the antenna? Don't like Ford? Unhappy with colors? Don't like the MIC top? Stop complaining and buy a Chevy or a BMW or maybe what you are suited for like a Prius...I had actually seen so many whiners in my life.

This is @Administrator approved. I know we are all excited for the new Bronco. I for one, cannot wait to get my hands on one and really put it through some paces here in Utah. I’m dying to redo the Pony Express in one. I think ripping those historic trails would be spectacular in a Bronco. But that doesn’t mean everything is roses and clovers. There are still a few things I’m not so found of. This is that list.

Really liked it - let me know when you decide to rip along Pony Express if I can tag along and we can talk on our 2m ham radios. :)

You seriously had me laughing. :)

BTW, I solved a few of your problems by just ordering the soft top. Bam, problem solved, problem staying solved! I garage so I'm not worried about snow pack on the roof.

in the Pennsylvania humidity
*Laughs in SE Texan*

It's all relative. I have friends who live and thrive in the "dry heat" of AZ. I've never had a chance to experience this dry heat they speak of and very much look forward to it.
I feel it gets really bad here in NC.
But when I go visit family in SE TX I am reminded that it is bad here...but not Galveston or Baton Rouge bad.
Same for PA and NC.
I've been to PA before and experienced it. It does exist and isn't much better than here.
I just wanted to jump in before one of the other "Deep South" people further into Tropical rainforest land picked on you about PA.
You know it's hot when you are on a motorcycle doing 70 and the air feels like you are riding through the ductwork of an HVAC unit on full blast heat. In summer here even riding isn't as pleasurable as one would think.
No offence meant.
The older I get the more I appreciate the AC (and long for the open air while riding).
I often think about our ancestors without it. Tough people back then.

I disagree with point 4 on the rear ac vents, Before people throw chairs hear me out.

The Bronco is an open top outdoor vehicle with potential for mud and water on the interior. BD and BL have wash out flooring and waterproof seats to enhance this. Ford has promoted that everything including switches are built to be hosed down and not be damaged by water.

If you look at a typical AC diagram in a car, the placement of the vents is in the back of the arm rest. If the vents are higher like this I would be very worried about water getting in the vents and sitting in the ac ducts. By keeping the vents as low as possible and protecting them with the seats there is less chance for an issue. Most likely once the ducts get under the center console the elevated the duct to prevent water from going further into the system and doesn't allow water to sit anywhere in the ducts.

As long as the fans are strong enough to move air in the back, which it should be, I think this was a good engineering decision for ford.

I'm sure some here will drag you for it, some will praise.
It is nice to have an analytical critique that stays to the bare-bones objectivity needed in a review. A fair review.
Not a hater review.
Not a fanboy review.
Not one that makes concessions because they want to love every nuance. Which is where I fall, personally.
I want to unequivocally love every aspect but I can't. I make concessions in my mind to be "ok" with some stuff in order to get the things I love about it, and probably most of us fall in this category.
Granted, I feel it is a solid homerun hit for Ford. It could have been a bottom-of-the-ninth Grand Slam, but it isn't. And it isn't due mainly to the things you nailed here. But that leaves room for improvement. And that's ok and quite logical.
Camera placement with a winch=illogical, leaving room for the '22, '23 or '29 models to be that much better= logical.
I am foaming at the mouth to get mine, and am as happy as can be, even with the weaker points.
One of my girls suffers from severe car sickness...so we shall see how that shakes out with the rear AC vent. I haven't told her and am in fear that she will want to bail on our trips if I do...at 16, she is well on her independent way and I want to soak up every single second I can of "together time".
I like the articulate, laid-back way you showed these, and had data/pics to back it up.
Too many times people get mad because they get mad, or dislike something because it isn't perfect and want the world to sing praises in their anguish.
You just put it out there and in the end, say the same thing I do. I drive my family, friends, coworkers, and FB page lurkers crazy with Bronco talk, pics, info.
Good job, and the complaints were well understood and genuine.
Surprised there is no cupholder complaint.
 Maybe make another video "11 Things I Hate about the Bronco" and include that for us beverage-deprived members..
@broadicustomworks, have you tried Dramamine for your daughter? My daughter suffers from motion sickness in cars and boats and when she takes that it helps.

That's a great video. Except for the removable top comments, I think I very much agree.

That said, I'm still thinking of getting a Warthog.

The other day I was watching a documentary about the Edsel and why it failed. I found it funny how many trims they offered, it reminded me of the Bronco. 7 total: Citation, Pacer, Corsair, Ranger, Villager, Bermuda, Roundup.

Had to laugh at the itty bitty rear wiper. To imagine some folks are freaking 'cuz they can't have one!!! OH MY WHAT WILL THEY DO????
I don't ever use my rear wiper and it annoys my wife, but not as much as when I don't use the fronts and she can't see. I like them to be off as much as possible or at the max delay possible to be able to see.

Not a bad video. As for the top, I live in North Cal, I do a lot of camping/wheeling in the Sierras, Mojave and in Nevada. These areas have perfect weather, yet I can't remember the last time I saw a jeep with the top off, let alone the doors. I know this site has a lot of one percenters where this feature is very import to them, but for a lot of people it might be a reason not to buy this vehicle.
As for the antenna, I never noticed it, until this weekend. My wife pointed it out when we saw the Broncos at the local dealer ship.
