I changed my order late this afternoon, just made it under the wire at 4:55 pm. The salesman was finalizing orders when I called, so he put it in while we were talking and confirmed it went in ok. I had ordered a Velocity Blue 2 door Black Diamond 2.3L manual trans with minimal options. I decided I really wanted heated seats with the manual transmission as well as the front locker, 33” tires, safety aids, etc, so I upgraded my order to a Cactus Grey 2 door Badlands 2.3L manual trans with the high package. It’s about $8300 more than my original build, but what the heck. I would’ve spent $3K on new wheels/tires and rock bars on the Black Diamond, so the net difference is closer to $5K.

I have the worst luck. I went to my dealer walked a lot for 10 minutes went in and he wasn’t there. I sent him an email trying to see what’s up but I think I might’ve just had to stick with what I have

Was today some deadline I hadn't heard about? I thought the last one was 19 March, and then other changes can still be made until VIN is assigned?

You can still make changes up to vin assignment. Deadline today was just for the whole top debacle as far as know.

Did you check the Ford website to see if your different trim order was changed there?
The reason I ask is because changed mine from an outer banks to BD. Still shows outer banks though.

I haven’t checked the Ford site, but based on what others have posted it may not show up.

The way I understood that email is that section is referring to the need to change away from the Mod top or dual tops to get in for MY21 by that date.... otherwise you get bumped to MY22 if your order has those items.

In the dealer FAQ it still says you can otherwise modify your order up until a VIN is assigned.

As far as I can tell, unless someone is talking about the MY21/22 Top thing, no one has missed any deadline.

You can still continue to modify your order until it is “scheduled” and the VIN is assigned.

Your right, but once the VIN is issued it's too late. And no one knows when the VIN will be issued. If you wait, thinking you have time... You might lose out?

A few weeks before a VIN is issued, the dealer can see in the preview that it will be issued.

This can either be used as a head’s up, or, the preview can say something like “this build is up, but it has the tow package which we’re out of... the buyer can keep tow and wait, or they can remove it and we’ll assign the VIN.

Once vin is assigned your Ford profile should update and you’ll probably receive an email.

You’re right that as of this moment none of us known when those things will happen. For some it will happen any day, and others we have months. However eventually some of us should get a estimate from Ford, and no matter what, if your vin hasn’t been assigned you can still modify your order.

I didn’t want people reading this thread thinking they missed their window and are locked into something they don’t eat now.
