Half of the 190k were in the first 36-48 hours is what I have been told. Not sure how that breaks down to launch night or first 24 hours.
Interesting, I was told it took 3-4 weeks to hit 90k

Nope. They were at 165,000 in 3 weeks, and Ford released that info:

Ford referred to the customer response to the reveal of the all-new Bronco as “unprecedented in Ford history, with more than 165,000 people placing $100 deposits for orders online in the first three weeks and more than 13 million tuning in on television or watching on social media platforms to catch a glimpse of the highly anticipated new models.”

It doesn’t even look like there’s a good “wishful thinking “ scenario to cling to.

This is a question from someone who doesn't know anything about automotive manufacturing other than what I watch on The Wheel Network's YouTube channel.

If there aren't many changes between MY21 and MY22, does there need to be that much downtime for changeover?

If something gets added or subtracted from MY21 to MY22 that has to be taken into account on the assembly line.

Ford lied.

Out of all the great subjects and threads in this forum. This is by far the most important one to me personally.
Thank you everyone for the updates.

So theoritically, there could be zero downtime if there were zero changes between model years? I know that won't be the case here, but just trying to understand how things work.

I'm sure the union has some downtime in the contract between model years if changes are needed or not. They had an Easter Monday holiday which I've never heard of in my life.

Lots of schools and Universities in OK even used to take off Good Friday and the Monday after Easter, not so much anymore. Never knew of a "business" to do that though.
